Was Alan Myers your father? I really wanted to visit him but could not. He was the Big Bore man of the UK.

I've heard every excuse for these not to be released on DVD - but 'we mus'n't upset the townies' - whom only see the countryside as a place to drive through (at suicidal speeds ) and chuck the remains of their disgusting Horror Meals made from the reclaimed offal and dross of intensive factory farming - but have no stomach for the reality as per real countryside pursuits.
Lord Bless you and we miss you Clarissa X

Thank you very much for uploading this and other episodes of this really delightful series.
Apart from all the inherently interesting content, it is lovely to have this window into the friendship between Clarissa and John. It's a real treat to witness the warmth of their connection and the way they were able to share so many mutual interests. I realize that the series is staged for television, but I sense that the affection between them was very real. (Interestingly, I've read in one or two places that Clarissa and Jennifer Patterson were not inherently close friends, and may not really liked each other, their outstanding television chemistry notwithstanding.) I'm so glad to have the chance to see this series.

Thanks gone to.... I think I still have an episode or two on vhs which I have not got round to capturing. These are the only episodes available on the internet, I hope to get them all somehow, someday. Do you have all the series on vhs?

It is possible I have them all, I certainly watched all of the programmes and liked to tape them. I once had a very extensive collection of countryside related videos taped off TV, but damp got at some of them and destroyed them. I will have to get my hands on a VHS player and have a look what there is.

Sorry about the late reply gone to.... If you find them then maybe you could message me & we could sort something out, it would be great to be able to share every episode with the world. I'm going to sort out the capturing side of things asap, if it works out I'll message you & if I find an episode that isn't already uploaded I'll upload it. I have a samsung world wide standards vcr which I need to plug in & try out.
