- My producer chose the hardest fashion questions related to our favorite topics and I guessed SO MANY wrong, including: Louis Vuitton Collaborations, Comme Des Garcons brands, Karl Lagerfeld at so many brands like Chanel, Chloé, Fendi, and Patou and ALL the creative directors that have ever designed at Dior. My memory is super bad. Please don't fire me.

Karl designed for Tiziani He also did a lot of freelance work back in his day so he designed gowns for krizia and Valentino and Charles Jourdon just to name a few he was quite prolific.
He has some archive pieces at Hermes as well from the early 90s

On a somewhat related note, imo hedi slimane only changed aesthetics at celine because he wasn’t hitting his numbers. Evidenced by the fact first he latched onto the whole eboy thing and when that didn’t work he went the kpop Stan route.

Actually there's a short period between Raf Simons departure and Maria Grazia arrival at Dior. Lucie Meier and Serge Ruffieux were there to fill the gap. So technically, Maria is not the first female creative director at Dior.
And also, Bill Gaytten (Galliano's right hand for 23 years) did several collections before Simons took over.
So, Dior womenswear so far had 9 creative directors (counting Lucie and Serge as a unit)

This was mostly trivia stuff, it’s really not important to know this in order to be a fashion designer. If you would like to understand more about interpretation of design, that’s what I felt my entire channel around 💫💫
Most of the stuff I got right here I learned from fashion books. Not so much the picture books, books like The Beautiful Fall, Karl, Gods and Kings, etc
