I always thought Jon Cryer never got the credit he deserved while on this show. Not that Charlie Sheen wasn’t great on the show either but playing the “straight man” is a much more difficult task.
Jon Cryer as usual is brilliant. Not only does he act so well he is also the director of 2 & 1/2 Men. A great talent ....hope Charlie sorts it out with CBS soon as I will miss seeing Jon and the rest of this fantastic cast! ...yes, including you Charlie! :)
In another episode, Alan: Charlie do you know how hard it is to maintain a working relationship when you don't have a place of your own? Charlie: Alan if I didn't have a place of my own, I'd be worried about something more than a relationship, you know like GETTING A PLACE OF MY OWN. Alan: So what are you saying, I'm not entitled to a relationship? Charlie: No, I'm saying if you can't afford dog food, you don't get a dog. Alan: Oh great, so I'm supposed to be alone for the rest of my life? Charlie: No! You're supposed to get your own fricking place! Alan: Just cause you keep saying it, doesn't mean it's gonna happen! Charlie is right. Alan should focus more on getting his own place than dating.
I really love this show when Charlie was still there... the script was better, and more importantly, Alan was still a smart struggling chiropractor, not as dumb as he became as the seasons went by. Too bad they made Jake become way too dumb
@SeanGrenadR Yes, he is cheap. He doesn't have much money and no place of his own. Two things you should not be without if you're dating. Maybe one of them but not both. In fact, Melissa once broke up with him for insisting they do it in his car because he didn't want to cough up $69 for a motel room and plus he didn't go far because he didn't want to waste gas and of course because he has no place to of his own. Charlie told Alan to focus more on getting his own place than on dating. Charlie gave Alan some words of wisdom, "If you can't afford dog food, you don't get a dog."
So what's Alan going to do if these Jewish girls or their families start asking Alan Jewish questions? They should've had a scene where Alan comes home with a black eye and tells Charlie, "Word of advice, Jewish girls get really pissed at dates who lie about being Jewish." And Charlie asks, "How'd she figure out you weren't Jewish?" and Alan says, "She said that she liked my yamaka and I told her, 'Thanks, it was Christmas present.'"
Tell that to the people who came up with the whole Walden series, especially the guy who wouldn't let Charlie appear in the finale because he was holding a grudge.
@@emilstalzer8553 It's precisely my comment. Most people stay with the denomination and its doctrines. Few, like me, bother to find out how the others live. As for Catholic, one should know that once John Knox took over, Scotland outlawed the Mass as a capital offense, during the reign of Mary Stuart. It is the main reason that we have no official church in the United States, nor a religious test for office.
@@BuddyNovinski Yes buddy, the Harper family is Ulster-Scot, making them Protestant (probably Presbyterian). And for eliminating any "pathological" doubt about the subject, there's an episode where Alan visits a Catholic Church intending to confess and tells the Father that he (Alan) is NOT Catholic.
Yeah, you're right about Sheen. Although ethnically he would be Portuguese-Irish, since Galician people are ethnically Lusitan/Portuguese. But it has nothing to do with the character. At the show, the Harper family is Ulster-Scot. Shalom.
Is that the Americanized version of our German idiom 'Oh weh!', Jewish immigrants brought to the States? 😄 Literally, that would means 'Oh, pain!' I think the English version is 'Alack!'.
What if Jon Cryer left 2 and a 1/2 men and acted as charlies brother on anger management who just got kid out of his wife's house( acculty his), and his 12 year old daughter comes to live with them on the weekend.
Everyone of you here watching this video is going to die at some point and each of you will answer to God for every idle word spoken, deed done by your hands and the motivation behind it. Now, the evidence for this is that even if you say you don't believe me, your conscience bears witness that I speak the truth and you know there is a creator to whom you will answer to one day. Are you ready? Your "good actions" you rely on are detestable to God, lest you try to negotiate your way into Heaven. Only by grace and through faith shall you receive salvation. Seek Christ while you still can, only He can forgive your sins. Repent and be born again, of water and the Holy Spirit. I say this without judgement and in absolute love when I tell you that Jesus is the light of the world, in Him there is no darkness...
