    It DID look like there was "an original Picasso with a hole punched in it". With all those "GET OUT" scrawls on the wall, you commented that the house was "not very welcoming". I laughed. I really like your sense of humor.

    When you panned to the basement stairs, I literally said "NOPE" out loud. Props to you for being brave.
    Also, this is such a beautiful house! Interesting layout, huge windows with tons of natural light, lots of bathrooms, really nice built-ins...makes you wonder why someone would just leave it to rot.

    Very Cool find!
    One suggestion for you, Carpetbagger...you might want to get one of those small portable respirator, like the one that Dan Bell has.
    In one of Dan Bell's videos, he mentioned that he actually got a lung infection for the air borne mold in an abandoned house.
    Just a thought...because I'd like you to be careful.

  • @Davilow
    @Davilow 8 лет назад +12

    Nice built-in shelving, a large porch, interesting room layout with a large den upstairs. I liked the custom built little outbuilding that has its own fireplace. This is one of those old homes that has character and is so much more interesting than the suburban tract homes that they started mass producing on small lots in the 1940's and 1950's.

  • @ShosyLeigh
    @ShosyLeigh 8 лет назад +38

    What a shame - this house was well-loved in the past with all of the build-ins. I never understood why squatters didn't take better care of things - so no one would notice they were even there! It's not difficult to clean up, just lazy not to.

    • @TMIDiva
      @TMIDiva 8 лет назад +5

      I think people who are squatters deal with addiction and mental health issues.

    • @ShosyLeigh
      @ShosyLeigh 8 лет назад +8

    • @bunnymomjulie6719
      @bunnymomjulie6719 3 года назад

      Yes! My mom used those EVERY night, those awful brush rollers that I don't know how she slept in. They are so pokey! She had little pink "tater tot? ones that she would put across her hairline in the front. She had a whole dish of those white pins with the little bump in the middle to hold them in. Finally convinced her it was okay to let her hair hang down naturally in 2014! :)

    I can only imagine how clean that air is to breathe..

    • @povertylevelphilanthropy1524
      @povertylevelphilanthropy1524 5 лет назад

      I wouldn’t necessarily call them just “homeless” people. Druggies that don’t care about anyone or anything but themselves, yes. Immature, careless punks that have no respect for anything, definitely. Homelessness isn’t the core issue with these folks. Many people who are homeless would have taken excellent care of this place given the opportunity. These, however, are probably the same folks who wouldn’t squat at these places without permission. On a different note, WOW, this an absolute dream home! Like, seriously, the perfect picture of what many people dream up in their heads. ❤️

    I can almost see the humidity there.I'm from the south and can sure testify on the effects humidity has on ones breathing! It appears to be warm ,maybe even hot there-add in that moist vegetation & he may as well have 20 vaporizers plugged in around him .Also , I have seen plenty of skinny little boys and girls breathing a little heavy in some other vids ,so I'm not about to judge him . P.S. Love your videos Carpetbagger!
