It DID look like there was "an original Picasso with a hole punched in it". With all those "GET OUT" scrawls on the wall, you commented that the house was "not very welcoming". I laughed. I really like your sense of humor.
Thanks! I should have took the picasso :)
The Carpetbagger You could definitely have still gotten some money for that Picasso.
Beautiful home & that guest house is beautiful .omg ,I would so take this home & do it up .
White Rabbit I agree! the bedrooms with the connecting bathroom is so awesome!
White Rabbit i agree to
lemon love That is what they call a "Jack & Jill" Bathroom. 😊
what ashame! because the house could be a real gem. I like the staircase & that cottage with the fireplace. I would love to fix up that place!
Ok
Truth in advertising, there was no head in the freezer.
I will never lie to my subscribers :)
The Carpetbagger {{ You just did tho lol
When you panned to the basement stairs, I literally said "NOPE" out loud. Props to you for being brave.
Also, this is such a beautiful house! Interesting layout, huge windows with tons of natural light, lots of bathrooms, really nice built-ins...makes you wonder why someone would just leave it to rot.
Being brave?!? Lma0 He only went to bottom of steps, He technically didn't even go in the basement since his foot did not touch the floor smh
Maybe, but he still got farther than I ever would have lol
Probably lost it back in 2008. Lots of people were forced to sell their homes or be foreclosed, myself included.
I would totally take this house in a second. Such a shame! There are desks and shelves built in!
These are hands down the best types of explores! I love it when there is so much stuff left behind. Great job!
That was probably a nice homey comfy house back in it's day!
exactly what I was thinking!! not all busted up like most of the abandoned homes
I totally agree!
It looks like it was a nice house at one time.
Also it looks like, it could be easily rehabilitated, if someone wanted to do so.
I agree, but it's a BIG place!!
if you look closely there's pop and stuff in our modern day so it probably wasn't around back then
Ayden Maltby squatters.
anyone else jump a bit at 3:43 thinking someone was laying there in a white T-shirt? Nope? Just me? okay good.
yes, I thought the same thing for a second
MG OC I did too!
*kjjstone* YEAY Xd
MG OC I did lol
MG OC me
Very Cool find!
One suggestion for you, Carpetbagger...you might want to get one of those small portable respirator, like the one that Dan Bell has.
In one of Dan Bell's videos, he mentioned that he actually got a lung infection for the air borne mold in an abandoned house.
Just a thought...because I'd like you to be careful.
Nice built-in shelving, a large porch, interesting room layout with a large den upstairs. I liked the custom built little outbuilding that has its own fireplace. This is one of those old homes that has character and is so much more interesting than the suburban tract homes that they started mass producing on small lots in the 1940's and 1950's.
Davilo Olivad killer wallpaper, too.
What a shame - this house was well-loved in the past with all of the build-ins. I never understood why squatters didn't take better care of things - so no one would notice they were even there! It's not difficult to clean up, just lazy not to.
I think people who are squatters deal with addiction and mental health issues.
You could be right - some may have some of those issues. But I think others just don't care because it isn't theirs. Too bad..
+Shosy G (Shosey) kinda like illegal aliens. They don't want to do no harm but till didn't follow the rule of law and got in the back of the line like i did...
What's the point of cleaning up your mess in an abandoned home you are just temporarily squatting in?
I would have it clean in an hour -- Ya might be poor but never be dirty
How is it a "murdery" house? I must of missed that part...
Brrrr maybe you should go armed ;-) I can just imagine Leather-face jumping out of nowhere... I guess the trouble with abandoned houses is, you don't know what was originally there and what other people have dumped there.
I rely on my cat like reflexes and ninja training
+The Carpetbagger Carpetbagger vanish quickly and without trace
I agree, I believe nowadays that being armed is a basic necessity if not to just scare idiots away. Or, maybe kill rabid dogs, raccoons, the occasional snake, etc...
I am quiet amazed by how the floors and walls inside look so good but outside the house looks like its falling apart really bad.
Those used Q-tip looking things were hair pins for the old fashioned hair curlers. Great video
Yeah, I had no idea what those were
Yes! My mom used those EVERY night, those awful brush rollers that I don't know how she slept in. They are so pokey! She had little pink "tater tot? ones that she would put across her hairline in the front. She had a whole dish of those white pins with the little bump in the middle to hold them in. Finally convinced her it was okay to let her hair hang down naturally in 2014! :)
If I lived in this area,i would definitely look into
buying it and doing it up.
I love how the house is surrounded by a forest,
I can only imagine how clean that air is to breathe..
The kitchen area looks fine and only needs some
maintenance,like the rest of it..
The house just needs, paint, love and championship and it would smile again.🏠🏠🏠🏠
Summer Reyes e
Summer Reyes you have creativity like me ! I would do that to! Hope youhave a great xmas!
"there is some very blue cheese" 😂
What a waste of a good home with all the homeless people it makes me sick to see all this
there are homeless people because they are too lazy to get a job. Go ask one on the side of the street how many jobs he or she has had.
I don't understand what you mean
I wouldn’t necessarily call them just “homeless” people. Druggies that don’t care about anyone or anything but themselves, yes. Immature, careless punks that have no respect for anything, definitely. Homelessness isn’t the core issue with these folks. Many people who are homeless would have taken excellent care of this place given the opportunity. These, however, are probably the same folks who wouldn’t squat at these places without permission. On a different note, WOW, this an absolute dream home! Like, seriously, the perfect picture of what many people dream up in their heads. ❤️
Looks like someone was designing jewelry on a wall treated with that spray-on chalkboard paint. This seems to have been a nice house. Something about this place makes me even more curious than usual what happened to the owners.
The house has been well taken care of until abandoned. I love those old places with the wallpaper-of-the-time there and that fabulous old kitchen stove. That's just my kind of house. Thank you for the tour my handsome tour guide.
hearing carpetbagger breathe like that is therapeutic, kind of like ASMR lol
"it's spooky.. but not that spooky. let's get the hell outta here..." lol.
2:32
Nancy: I love your tie, Sug.
Dale Gribble: Found it in the ground.
Beautiful house. What a shame.
Such a beautiful wooden dresser on the main floor gone to waste. The large porch would be so wonderful to sit on in some comfortable chairs with a nice breeze....not like the homes nowadays where you walk straight into a foyer from outside.
That was a super nice place and not all that long ago either. What a shame.
"well learned hooligans here" omfg i died! Lmao!
well, it looked creepy outside, but the house was very nice at one time. Thanks Carpetbagger!
I can almost see the humidity there.I'm from the south and can sure testify on the effects humidity has on ones breathing! It appears to be warm ,maybe even hot there-add in that moist vegetation & he may as well have 20 vaporizers plugged in around him .Also , I have seen plenty of skinny little boys and girls breathing a little heavy in some other vids ,so I'm not about to judge him . P.S. Love your videos Carpetbagger!
+Mandy Woods appreciate it
I would love to rescue those wooden window sets . I love old frame houses. If I ever hit the Powerball I am building one Fifties style .
Festivus for the rest of us!!
Haha
This looks like my dream house. Pretty ashamed that it's in ruins
that was a huge house . loved the built in cabinets in the upper bedrooms.
I bet it was a beautiful home in its day. thank you!
Lol ,,,,"It's not THAT scary.....let's get the the h*ll out of here!"....Actually, that must have been a beautiful and homey little place in it;s day...I love all the wonderful built ins on the second floor! Great job Jacob...thanks!
All I look for in an abandoned house... no head in the freezer! Thanks for delivering!
Geeze am I behind the times! @ 2:41 I still have one of those dressers. Yes, it is in my basement but I still have one exactly like it.
No head in the freezer, I love it.
I love this channel
Breezing thru here and I saw several of your tutorials on abandoned houses. Very good presentation! Keep on checking!
wow I love the upstairs too!!!! such a cool layout, its really pretty! I hope they find their way home from new Zealand soon! haha
lol . the fireplace in the small bulding is funny .
A true miracle , having two intact toilets ! That " Get Out " message must have been for Cal Naughton Jr.
Nice Talledaga nights reference :)
wonder how long it's been sitting abandoned. the inside still looks mostly structurally sound. the outside though needs to be completely redone.
An original Picasso with a hole punched in it!! Lolololol
Just found this channel and I love it. Like watching people do what id never have the guts to do and your sense of humor is great! 😂
I bet that palace was beautiful in her day!! I would love to have big rooms like that!
What a neat house, I love the built in shelves and stuff in these older houses! Never seen one with a desk like that!
Mega Like, just because you went down that creepy basement!
Greetings from Mexico city
***** Yes, some old houses have basements, near downtown.
oh my God that house has so much possibility, i could make it look awesome!!!!! So sad! Thanks for another great video!!!!
I laughed when u said WE MADE U GO DOWN TO THE BASEMENT.
NO WHY HE WENT IN THE BASEMENT I THOUGH I SAW A GHOST WITH A KNIFE AND I STARTED CRYING SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!!
I liked the upstairs, with work it would look nice restored.
"Oh I thought those were Q-Tips; that would be gross!" Nope just syringe cases for drugs lol
Its really a beautiful old house
It's really sad that that house is just sitting there falling apart and getting vandalized. It looks like it has an awesome layout! I'd love to live in a house like that! 😕
I'm surprised that you didn't run into any critters.
that house is comfy looking , i feel good vibes
Pretty eerie, but adventurous looking!
i love old houses. i think this place is beautiful.
What a beautiful house that must've been. Nice video. Love the mouse.
Wait I didn't see the picture just your painting. Ha ha that's not a mouse.
Lori Miller
Lori Miller look at this dood
Nice! Thanks! Probably a very beautiful home at one time
I love watching you videos...you make me laugh...I am so glad there was no head in the fridge...and thank you for going in the basement!!
Such a cute house. Lots of sunlight too. Shame it's in this condition now :(
So sad, someone once lived here, and cared for this house! This looks like vandals just trashed the place! Were living here for a while too! Shame, looks like it was furnished with good stuff at one time!
He went in the spooky basement! Our plan worked perfectly! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ;)
I love this house. It looks like a fairly big house. Lots of rooms. Beautiful staircase railing
A Festivis pole! ha ha! I love it. Great videos, especially the scary house ones!
that house is great ... still has a lot of potential as a fixer up
lol the dreaded ugh before going into the basement...that was funny :)
"Just say No"!!, to basements!!😁😀
Love it...you are so funny and I love your video's.. Just subscribed ! TFS :0)
This was in my Recommendations queue.
I like your sense of humor. Plus, you are a character and a half. LOL.
Wow, you are popular! Congrats on your YT success.
What word is "murdery"?
I'm surprised you're in this line of work. With your COPD and mouth breathing, the mold, dust, and vermin airborne contaminants would seriously compromise your health. You might want to look into a mask. Often epigenetic effects show up later; you may seem fine now, but over time...
I've been there, done that. Not from urban exploration, but as a former chemist. The government lies.
I am now a new subbie of yours.
Do you do Improv?
boomerangs were used by Australian aborigines mate. not by the Maoris
and I have to live in an old car - DAMN!!!
Another great exploration bro!
I hear the crackle on the floor and worry that you might go right thru! some of those old houses are dangerous and I'm sure you know that,,,, keep safe! for another day..... Sass
The heavy breathing NOOO
skyler mchale must not be spaceish...so she needs air...*spaceish?*.... new word?...the world must never know...
What a shame. Such a grand ole house until squatters vandalised it. I can picture what it looked like back in the day.
A very nice tour and this house was beautiful
Wow! that house, even in that condition, would be worth a ton of money here in Colorado. Unless the plumbing was shot or the wiring was borked it can be fixed. Out here even a bad foundation can be fixed (i had to on my dad's place)
That was a good find! Maybe brush up on how the paper work goes and you could do that thing where you acquire the note of a house and turn around to sell it for a profit.
Eminent Domain is what it's called.
you should check the attic for a box of old movie reels
What a nice front porch. Cool video, Cb.
I love all the built-ins!!! Must have been a beautiful home at one time. Sad. Please be careful, Carpetbagger. That creepy basement had me worried for you . 😦😱
Made me lol thank u sir
What you thought were qtips, I thought were syringes lol
"MURDERY" i LOVE IT HAHA
"Leave...This house is very unwelcoming" lol I'm subbing I like these videos also you talking is entertaining with it
Very interesting find! :D
I'm more petrified with your massive "sideburns". I won't be able to sleep right tonight. Thanks a lot!
Cool house, love the built-ins!
This is a pretty house. It's sad that it's trashed/abandoned. The floors in some of the rooms still look ok.
i would never enter to an abandoned house NEVER EVER
True southern feasting going on in here lol
You know I love the middle of nowhere!!!
Love the chops, dude.
Nice video man! That house would be cool to fix up
why do I feel safer when you have a friend with you lol 😂😂
Cheerwine, Moon Pies, and Seroquel. Yum! I know what my next meal will be.
Dude you sir are now my top channel. I celebrate Festivus every year :D
