Just gotten into Carpetbaggers videos recently from some videos I saw with Adam Woo, and now I'm watching a video filmed less than ten minutes from my house, awesome.
There creep factor on the first place is pretty high..and I like good haunted houses. Cool find and great job Jacob!

Another great video! What I wonder is how long they really expected the place to last. A haunted house is fun, but does not seem like something that would bring in a lot of people except around Halloween. It would be fascinating to know where the owners are now and what they are doing.

"Possum Kingdom" gets its name from a lake resort area in Texas, which, if I understand or remember correctly, had some serial killer activity and inspired the song.
Either way, this place was cool
Millie Hayes possum kingdom is like a nickname for a small town in SC
...but the band The Toadies were from Fort Worth Texas. Millie is correct. It's about Possum Kingdaom Lake. "Around the lake tonight...."

It looks like they spent a total of like $25 dollars on the props. That and/or stole mannequins. I'm terrified of haunted houses/attractions, but the only thing that scared me (for like a second) is when the door slam shut. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
You mention the Toadies song "Possum Kingdom", but I bet they were talking about Possum Kingdom Lake here in Texas near Mineral Wells since the band was from Fort Worth. You should come check it out and out by the boathouse, you'll learn the dark secret.

that was my step dad's fam haunted house attraction off of hwy 25/ augusta road. he used to sell peanuts and produce not far down the road from here at the hwy 8/ 25 intersection.

I grew up like 15 minutes from this place. I went to their corn maze one time. And it’s actually not Greenville it’s closer to Pelzer or Anderson.

That place is thoroughly meta; an abandoned decaying place that was meant to look abandoned and decaying when it was in use. You can't tell what's deliberate from what's the result of being actually abandoned...

Big fan of ur videos carpetbagger, btw i went to went to an abandoned hospital with some girls of mine, but they ditched me because they heard noises and thought it was a ghost. It really turned out to be th cops and they caught me, luckily they gave me a warning, no tickets, no arrests.

I have seen actual abandoned building video's which are creepier than the abandoned Haunted House. Still, if I had the time and money I would renovate it into a classy scare joint to attract people from miles around.
You are in a Halloween haunted house. We have a couple that open mid September to Halloween. We also have one that's so popular that they now have made it a restaurant. Can you imagine eating in that atmosphere? But it's popular.

Originally they had it up for Halloween. I used to pass it on my to college. It was a spare home they retooled for entertainment purposes.
