This is the Delta 4 Model. The Delta 3 doesn't come with the "Rubber Foot Plate" on the bottom, and doesn't come with the "Dual Spring Rocker System" nor the "Tri Pivot Toe Clamp." I have a Delta 3 5000 Accelerator Pedal and it's pretty smooth. Will probably upgrade to a Delta 4 5000 Turbo Eventually.
"There is a weight to DW pedals that is different than most..." Yep, cuz their 101 beater is heavy af. I love DW's but the first thing I did after buying one was putting on a standard Sonor beater (Pearl beaters are very light too).
I have 3 beaters, a green Slug, Full size Lowboy and a Sonor. The Sonor is similar to the slug and it gives it a nice punch , I scored a Lowboy for $20 on Craigslist and it took some time to get use to the weight but now if feels natural now and I play fast punk music. I just put this pedal on layaway at a pawn shop it was $100 in brand new condition. I've been using either a Tama Iron Cobra Powerglide or this Ludwig pedal that I got for free with a Tama Metalworks snare I scored at a pawn shop for $100 as well.
Definitely a super well build, good feeling pedal. However... I'm a Pearl Eliminator guy. I own two double bass sets of them (one standard and one Redline), because the first one never let me down. I LOVE Pearl hardware in general. Pearl and Tama have the highest quality at the lowest price IMHO.
Funny thing about pedals is that sometimes buying the most expensive pedals won't mean that you're gonna have a blast using them. I've spent thousands upgrading my cymbals, stands, snares... and through all the upgrade paths, I still refuse to switch from my DW 2000 single chain. My foot feels at home with it and it does anything I want it to do. It's dirty, squeaky and has a couple parts missing but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Hi, I would like to know what technique to apply to give double hits and if there is any difference with this Pedal De Bombo Dw 5000 Ad4 Accelerator Delta 4.Discuit my English is that I use the translator
+Ben Corfield I can! It depends on what you're looking for really. First off are you a heavy pedal kind of guy? If so the DW's are what you want, I'm a DW guy myself (used to have pearl) but I had so many issues with my pearl pedal I left them behind and never looked back. I can't say if the new redline is a bad pedal, but I can say that the 5000's are amazing pedals.
Oddly I get easier double strokes with this pedal and the heavy beater, than I do with my Yamaha DFP-9. I don’t get it😂 I just have a heavy foot and play pretty hard.
Looove my 5000. Played iron cobra’s, pearl eliminators, and the demon drive. 5000 felt the best and most like home.
I put the metal trick beater on mine. Lovin’ it...and I use the pedal the way it came out of the box. No need for adjustments.
"Non- slip rubber grip" sick rhymes Nick! Thats what DW should call that feature...
Hit 1:46 repeatedly for sweet "pedalconnectedtothekickdrumnow" rap.
Jack Jefferies my favorite song
Scatman style!
Thanks man :D

What would be the difference between Turbo and Accelerator? Which one would you prefer? Thanks.
Are these pedals good for speed?

do you let the beater hit the center of the kickdrum(22")?

I recently went on a journey that started with a Dw MDD double pedal ($1100) and ended on an old camco pedal that I found for $20 bucks.
Full circle since DW bought Camco's shop and tools in '77
Can this pedal go on a pdp encore bass drum
do the 9000

Hi Francesco! You can learn more about this snare here: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DWCP5000AD4

I learn nothing from this guy. How about differences between the lines, or the cam shape turbo, accellerator. Cam adjustable?
No you, can buy the 5000 ad4 that Is the accelerator and the 5000 TD4 that Is the turbo with the perfect round cam.
Now I know what JJ Abrahms looks like without glasses on.
Seems like a normal pedal to me, you hit it, and it does things.
Wow man that's deep
I'll stick with my Axis
Starbreaker420 how does it respond better. I am really trying to develop doubles and don’t want to waste any money.
Nice nurse shoes! :P
