In 1986 I owned a Puch Maxi, same engine. I had back then the same idea. I played around an electric driven water pump from a washing machine to pump more air through the carburettor...but gave up because it could not pump sufficient quantities of air. No RUclips or internet to look up how things worked in those days. The only information I had was a car magazine showing an illustration of a Renault 5 turbo engine... Well done... you did it 👍🏻
Why zero charge pressure?? .. when the piston is blocking all the transfer & exhaust ports, the turbo charger will add pressure to the crankcase, thus increasing the fuel/air charge in the crankcase.
He’s right you might see a small amount of boost on the gauge but when the piston comes down opening the exhaust first then the transfers all that boost you have just captured in you crank case just pisses out the open exhaust your not gaining and extra compression/capacity as when the exhaust closes again you back to atmospheric pressure again, that top end power your getting is from the large expansion pipe Take the turbo off I bet you find it goes better Cool looking bike though
@@roehle9962 no it wouldn’t be fudged scavenging is made by the cone on the exhaust that’s why it’s before the turbo then he uses what’s left of the pressure in the exhaust after the cone which isn’t a lot in a normal 2 stroke but since he has a separated crank case with it’s own oil he can basically tune it like a 4 stroke and that’s why it takes so long to build boost but when it does it really pulls
