Caribbean Open Breakdown Pt2

Entering day 2 with a decent lead, I decide to not take it easy. It’s common with a decent lead for competitors to take it easy by shooting safer strategies and not pushing for really any reason. I wanted to keep building the lead by executing with aggression on the easy stuff, but avoid risk through planning. Issues came up concerning my ability to stay visually sharp, which cost me some raw points in the first half of the day. I didn’t really gain any more ground over the course of the day, but ultimately finished first in Production Optics with a 66 point lead over Niles Johannesburgvonwitchenstein 😁.
Thank you to Nils for keeping me on my toes, and to the match organizers for putting on a consistently great event. Caribbean Open has become a staple of my shooting season. Fantastic match quality and beautiful venue are two of the chief reasons.
