- We planned to sail to Turks and Caicos but like most of our sailing plans we altered course a bit and ended up at one of the quietest little Bahamian Islands we have ever been to called Mayaguana. We will continue on to the Turks and Caicos from here hopefully at a better wind angle. Once through the Turks and Caicos we will sail on to the Dominican Republic!

This is what I like about the two of you and your channel you present a genuine interest in the areas and people you meet. Sierra has been craving basic home cooked food of Rice and Peas no one is looking for the nightlife a big bar just heartfelt home cooking and socializing with the local residence. As always if you treat the locals well and politely they will treat you well and politely as always Aloha.

The new West Marine Bahamas flags don't last anytime in the sun. We have an old one we used years ago, that we bought from them, that made it six months down there, and still looks pretty good. It's much heavier feeling though. Can't seem to find them anywhere, though. Enjoyed your video!

Oh my goodness sierra I have the greatest Caribbean peas and rice recipe. Now it’s not like the one you have there. But it is pigeon peas and rice made with non sweet coconut milk chicken croquettes Bahamian macaroni and cheese and grilled fish. Yes!!!!!

I met them about 3 weeks ago in Grenada, they are well south and below the hurricane belt. Their videos are posted a few months behind their current position.

We were there for over a week waiting for weather to the Turks and Caicos May 2018. Did you get over to the other side of the island for drinks? Tour the old nasa site...first photos from space landed there!
Wish we had had the weather it looks like you were having...quite a rough time for us even inside the reef right where you were anchored.
Unfortunately we eventually continued on to south side marina and after a week, attempted to get to Luperon Dominican Republic but our little Prout cat sank 22 miles off the the coast of Haiti.
Just thankful to be alive...life is good!
Stay safe...if you are headed south after the Turks and Caicos, WAIT for the absolute best weather! It can really get rough and it truly becomes no mans land. We found out the hard way. Lost everything...almost our lives
