Meeting Haldor For the First Time | Episode 13

In this episode, I wanted to unlock more of the map, so we went out on a journey to explore the northern part of the island. We looted lots of dungeons and made significant progress towards our Elder battle. We have a few more items on the list before we fight the Elder, but I'm getting very excited for this battle!

Nice haul of surtling cores! Place a portal with no tag in your base and carry the mats for a matching 'quickie' portal for exploring. No need to make camps then. 🙂

You popped a fire down to renew your rested bonus, when you have the rested, destroy the fire and you get your stone back, saves you hunting for stone the next time you want to put down a fire (sadly you don't get the wood back though).
When you talk to the Trader and you see what he sells, on the bottom right hand corner there is a gold coin icon, if you click this you sell to him all the gems Rubies and Amber/pearls that you have in your inventory and earn more gold. Just keep clicking until you have sold everything. It's always worth setting something up near the Trader so you can get back to him quickly when you want to sell or purchase items, you have all you need for quick travel now, it's time to give it a whirl 😉 Not sure if you noticed, but the Trader is surrounded by a pinkish coloured bubble, look for it next time you go back to him. If you are in this bubble you are protected from enemies, they just don't see you when you are in it.
You could go for the Elder if you want, but you may struggle, I think 'putting off' the farming is a mistake, good food makes a huge difference in Valheim, you also now have the ability to make potions to help you, like stamina/healing potions but yes it will take extra time to set this up. If you are eager to progress faster though and want to go for the Elder, then yeah have a go, it's always fun to give something a try 😄

Ooooh, thank you for the selling and campfire trick. I do need to start making some portals. I think those will be good fun. I've already recorded it, but I have started to do some fermentation, so I'm still in the prepping for the Elder phase!
