Jetty Fishing For Black Drum In St. Augustine - Carolina Skiff 162 JLS

I had a couple hours to burn so I took a quick trip out to the St. Augustine Jetties to see if I could scare up a Black Drum or two for supper.

Thank you Tom. I am a little over due for a one year review of the boat. Hopefully I can get to that soon.
I only had a couple hours to fish. That one drum made for a delicious supper for my wife and I with a little left over to put up in the freezer for a rainy day 😋.

Thank you for watching. Yes, although not as popular in terms of sport fishing, tournaments etc. I actually prefer Black Drum to Red Drum for the dinner table.

Lol.. yeah, I was trying to horse him in as fast as I could. My last trip at the jetties I had to get everything past the sharks. That is why i was using such a heavy outfit. As it turned out, it looks like the sharks finally thinned out and at least that day and were not an issue. I do tend to get a little animated sometimes..lol. I got excited when I realized the big tug at the end of the line finally wasn't a shark.
