Late to the game but everybody ends up here eventually. To combat the extra driving due to mixed loads I provide a loose storage for each mineral nearby and set the tower to only unload there. Allows fewer trucks per tower. Let your unassigned trucks move it around as needed.
Ah oil. My number 1 goal for every Run. Doesn’t matter how improvised it is as long as it gives me Diesel. (Also a little mention for mining, place the mind control tower much further a way. Like 3-4 boxes away)
I am not sure if this is new or not, but i noticed while playing some yesterday that if you set truck exports to On, the assemblers would hold more product. That may also apply to the furnaces as well.
I was wondering... Since you said you find the buffer for slag on your copper production is too small, would it make sense to put a Unit Storage or Loose Storage (not sure which) in there for slag? Maybe have all three feed their slag into one storage building?
Loose Storage. And yes, it would make sense, except if it is a temporary build, meant to be replaced by a larger and more elaborate build in another place. And even then, I do usually add a Slag Storage/Belt system to my initial/temporary setup of 2-3 Blast Furnaces for Iron and 1 for Copper. (Later on, I build a big rig setup with 10 on Iron, 5 on Copper and 5 on Steel, and of course later on the plan is to replace that with a 3rd giga-rig based on higher-tier components, and with less Iron and more Steel and Copper, but I haven’t yet progressed that far into the Tech Tree. All I know is that tier-1 Belts and tier 1/2 Loose Storages limits me to tier-1 Blast Furnaces in multiples of 5 because of Belt throughput limits of 60/second.)
Started this game on 6th July 23. Loved it but I failed on episode 4 because all my people started dying because either I had no food. Starting again painfully
I would really want to play this game, but it seems stressful. Having to have something ready within specific time window or otherwise "mission" failed is bad for game like this I would say. It could be some "realistic" or "HC" mode, but it would be nice to have some campaign or some kind of sandbox or really low difficulty to be able to prepare in advance for everything even when doing mistakes.
Two clicks, then wait a full 10 months (300 days) for cooldown, then two more clicks, etc. In v0.5 the throughput for trading for Concrete, Scrap Iron and Diesel has also been doubled, but not for Bricks.

I like watching these videos, but I'm just shocked that with how much vehicle traffic you have moving around that the game doesn't require you to establish roads for more realistic logistics.
It may be a good idea to fill in the land around the various ore locations so that erverything can be mined.
Nothing is going to go wrong for those sailors, but they don't know that. It's the implication that it might do.

That’s normal. Truck export increases the buffer of the building so they can accommodate the large spikes of stuff being delivered or picked-up.

I thought there are oil pumps for water or do you need to just fill the area dirt ?
There are ground water pumps.

Roads are not in the game yet. They are on the Roadmap.
