These are the effective types of blocking in a real fighting situation. There is no time to plant your blocks, but just to be reactive. These blocks are simple and effective.
If someone tries to fight you, it's essential to handle the situation with care to protect yourself and avoid unnecessary violence. Here are some steps to consider:
Stay Calm: Keep your emotions in check and avoid escalating the situation. Take a deep breath and try to think clearly.
Avoid the Fight: The best way to win a fight is to avoid it altogether. Try to de-escalate by speaking calmly and non-aggressively. Apologize if necessary, even if you don't believe you're at fault, to defuse the tension.
Create Distance: If possible, put some distance between yourself and the other person. This can give you time to assess the situation and decide on your next move.
Use Verbal De-escalation: Use calm and assertive language to diffuse the situation. You might say something like, "I don't want any trouble" or "Let's just walk away from this."
Be Aware of Your Surroundings: Look for exits and other people who might be able to help. Moving to a public or well-lit area can deter the aggressor.
Defend Yourself if Necessary: If the situation becomes physically unavoidable, use self-defense techniques to protect yourself. Focus on escaping rather than engaging in a prolonged fight.
Use Objects for Defense: If you're in immediate danger and can't escape, use objects around you as improvised weapons or shields.
Call for Help: If you're able, call for help or alert others to the situation. In some cases, shouting can draw attention and deter the aggressor.
Report the Incident: After the situation is over, report the incident to the authorities, especially if you feel threatened or if there was physical violence.
Seek Safety: Once you're out of immediate danger, find a safe place to go, such as a friend's house or a public area, and avoid returning to the location where the incident occurred.
These steps are aimed at minimizing the risk of injury and legal consequences. It's always better to prioritize your safety and avoid confrontation whenever possible.

Had a fight with a guy 26/28stone and these techniques work. Deflection of punches to the head ensued. Watch your feet and stay upright or you will suffer. Choke hold whilst on the ground then resulted. Back off from punches and kicks directly as they don’t work. If you can get behind them or get them on the ground you may survive.

Yes Paul vuniak is one of the more practical traditional artists.
I train his RAT system every now and then when I'm not boxing or practicing muay thai.
He is right in a scenario like that you have to get up off the ground my BJJ will not work, if the guy that suckered punch you is bigger wrestling will also be difficult.
You need to fight dirty in streets when it is unknown how much or how many people will try to hurt you.

You had plenty of time & space to throw a Right snap kick when he blitzed towards you. Your legs are longer than his arms. Right snap kick would have dropped him
