It was intended and it was him playing or toying with the songs tempo. There are very few drummers and musicians who are able to do that and WHILE singing. That's why i love Paak, he's a genius. I'd like to approach all this heat in a calm and collected manner. Blake was not familiar with Anderson.Paak. Totally fine; that genre is not his jam. But the issue here is about respect and acknowledgement. Pretend Blake has a friend named Jerry. Blake and Jerry write and produce a phenomenal song. They play it for a crowd. Afterward, Blake and Jerry are standing together when one of Jerry's friends comes up to them and says "Jerry, you wrote an AMAZING song! Great job!" and then walks away. Sure, maybe his friend didn't mean any disrespect, he doesn't know Blake like that. But that's being lazy. It doesn't take much effort for him to turn to Blake and say, "I don't know you, but good job to you too man. I saw what you did up there." It's about being seen. It's about a much bigger issue in the world and this could be a great learning opportunity.
