First ski doo I drove was a brand new '76 elan 300SS that my dad bought. I was 8. Loved that sled! Would love to find one again someday!

I can’t believe these were actually only made for 25 years and it’s now been 27 years since they ceased production. They seemed like they were everywhere and would always be available. I loved my 1979 Elan twin cylinder passed down from my brother.

Fun little sleds. Light, reliable and reasonably priced.

Great memories my 88 elan is mint . Never owned a car just trucks I can honestly say I have driven a elan more kms than a car. Used them on my trapline from 74 to 2001 was so reliable never had the feeling if it broke down I couldn’t fix it to get home. Modem machines are more reliable but if it breaks out in bush you can’t fix them.

Love the sound of the twin 16 and 22 hp Elans.

It seems that no two Elans were the same, with different motor options over the years, and each rider had different expectations too.
