Finally!! This sereis allowed me to replace the track and drive cogs on my 1969 amf ski daddler! It has the exact same drive cog and track system as those skidoos.
The appropriate video opening for this sled. If anyone gives this video a thumbs down you need to have your head examine. Good luck lifting the new sled with one arm and hitting the flipper! She's a thing of beauty, Louie! Well done, Sir.
You bring up an excellent point about questioning why they don't make something as simple as hell and stuffl. There are enough of us out there that would purchase it compared to buying one of those new alien bug looking things!
We had a 1976 16 hp Elan back in the 80s it was actually my mom's she rode it for years. When my brother and I got around 12 or 13 she gave it to us we had some fun on that sled here in Newfoundland.
No problem. Louis. I’ve been watching your content for quite sometime now. Want to get into sleds myself but it’s just to expensive here on the island. Everyone thinks old sleds are worth a fortune. Even in rough shape. Lol
I think these were a sensation in 1970-71 at about $600 USD? We sold our 318e Olympic and moved south in ‘71, never to ride again… those were some high adventure days, age 16!
Hey Louie, I got a 76 spirit 250 and the sides of the belly pans are rusted out I was just wondering if you had any advice on how to fix it or what to look out for
Sweet sled We’re restoring a 72 How can we watch the series without having to scroll through 7 years of videos? Maybe list the RUclips links in the description of each video?
Hey I restored a 76 Elan this fall, was wondering what would cause my track to hit my tunnel every once in awhile, bad springs? Track seems nice and snug, and is aglinged good.
@@PowerModzOfficial perfect thanks alot I appreciate it! Got some new springs I'll try to throw in it after work and take it for a test drive! Keep up the good work and amazing videos, we all love the Elan videos here in Newbrunswick!
I've been following your channel for a couple of years now. I really enjoy your old sled stuff. Do you have any other one lunger 250 elana for sale... I'm close by and serious
@@PowerModzOfficial okay Lewis. Please let me know. I can give you my phone number by email. My father bought a white brand new 1976 250 single Elan in Sudbury Ontario for $950 out the door January 31st 1976. I ran it for over 30 years and regret selling it although I loved my ET 340.
God yes more Elan material!! Have been waiting years for the completion for years :)
Trying to locate an exhaust for a 250 twin rotax and starter for a rotax 335 single. Anyone know where I can find?
@@dubmac6979 wow. Rotax made a 250 twin huh? I'd love to see one of them.
A trick : you can watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching loads of movies these days.
@Juelz Finley yea, have been using Flixzone for since november myself =)
@Juelz Finley Yup, I have been using Flixzone for since december myself :D

@@PowerModzOfficial thanks again.
My first one was a 76 Elan SS, Had the 250 twin, Oh yeah I was Ballin. Nice looking Sled.
Love Elans. I had a 1988 250 single in Labrador. Had so much fun with it. Now I have a 1970 Olympique 12/3 which is the predecessor to the Elan.

Love to see you do a rat sled/tank alpine!😁
Iv always said a alpine with modern tracks and suspension with like a rx1 motor in it or something powerful like that
Now, Louis must be crying in a dark corner of his garage.
lol, not at all - went to a good home!

Very nice. We should all have 1
For sure!
Now I want to buy one!! I think some other stuff/toys would be cool and help your channel grow(mini bike, snow bike, Argo, side by side?) great vids!!
Thanks - more coming!
I have been waiting for this video for years. Hope the new owner keep it in good shape but gets some good use out of it.
Oh ya he will!
Love the videos
I would never sell that one..
Well can I keep them all?
@@PowerModzOfficial ofc. Theres no big money in them so keep em ALL man!! Great videos btw. Longing for a build now. /Sweden

Start welding!
Nice job! Those Elans were great snowmobiles, we had 2 '71 Elans, and I wish my dad didn't sell them.
Awesome sleds!
What happened with the 925 big bore elan
Oh its still sitting there, cleaning up other sleds - and will get onto the 925 when its in my new shop im building.
Sweet sled

Aren’t the drive wheels installed on the back? Shouldn’t they be up front?
Where did you find a track. Need one for a 73 Elan
I think CAMSO might be making them again.
Nice priming job! It ain't snowmobilin unless your throat tastes like gos.
lol thats true!
Had to add the Ontario accent...Thanks for all the awesome videos. Peace brother.
Awesome

When all the bogies compress the track gets loose - springs could be the issue - I put olympic springs on the back

One last comment here. Did you ever make t-shirts with the line, it ain't snowmobiling unless you're coat smells like gas. You would sell 1000
No but Im going to!
