My first snowmobile was the 440 Capri. I bought it second hand for $200 in 1978. Great first sled. Hearing that distinct exhaust sound really brought back memories!
Great vid Toddy, so cool to see the old machines fixed, up and running again. The sound of the ratchet on fast time is just too funny! keep up the great vids bud, thanks again for sharing.
thanks Toddy. Great technique on the video. And very useful here. A neighbour has a '70 motoski with the 493 Hirth and low miles but it has been on the ground under a truck cap for 25 years and everything is froze down. Will wait for spring. But I have a '70 Olympique I bought new to work on instead. Did you use rust converter before priming ? And is your spray gun airless ? John in Manitoba.
Hi John. No I didn't but that is a excellent idea. I deceased with a decreaser and vinegar and removed all the rust. Just used a good primer. The sprayer is not air it's electric. Enjoy doing your project! Thanks.
