A lovely restoration job. Your voice reminds me of a combination of a friend of mine and Bill Nighy. Listening to you is very relaxing - and I love Casios. Thank you for making these videos.
Love the new intro and logo. Good work restoring the watch. A suggestion would be to reduce the background music when you're testing the module for sounds and other functions.
Interesting video, I'm not sure if it would still work by the time I got through with it. I have enough of these smaller inexpensive Casios to outlast me, so I really don't have to worry about it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 4 your video 🙂 at 12:31 Where you open the J-52 its is seen, that there is no "Rubber Conductive" inserts to activate the two front buttons. I have a SW-110, with similar case and frame, witch is not working, And I suspected that I have lost the inserts, but looking at your video, is seems there are non installed. Also you are not installing any "conductive things" when putting the watch back together at 22:45. I have tested min out of the case, and they work, but its as if they do not reach the contact when pressing. Any thoughts, with your expertise?
Hi welcome back, a big thumbs up for the new intro very catchy, and a really interesting restoration of the J-52, good job, I'm still enjoying my WV-59 it's almost become my daily wearer, when you get time maybe a full review would be good, keep up the good work, stay safe.
Thank you John. I did record the WV-59 but 2 other channels released videos just before I was done, so I shelved it for now. I'll come back to it very soon.
I love your channel. Great work. It was the film Top Gun that got me into watches. I noticed the watch Tom Cruise was wearing and was blown away but the fact it was all black metal. It looked chipped and beat up but I found it was a Porsche design orfina chronograph. Some of the other pilots (Hollywood and Viper whip hubley and Tom skerrit) wore a digital watch that had these two red buttons. I think this one could have been it.
good stuff, i have a classic game watch called hungry mouse but one of the pin retaining hole has been slotted and the pin keeps falling out i think i need to glue it with something and redrill the hole for the pin but am scared of having a reaction with the plastic and melting it. Is there a safe glue you know of?
I have tried all kinds of glues and they all end up failing. The best solution i found was to heat up the area with a soldering iron and smooth out the slotted area. Then use a small drill bit to open up the hole if needed.
Silicon grease or it's oil variant in aerosol form helps to preserve watch bands and gaskets. I there any silicon oil in marine grease? If there is ,that might explain why the marine grease is working so well. I gave your vid a like because i was well informed. Casio was my first decent digital watch in the 1980's.... RE
Hi, how can I know if a Casio has glass or plastic front? Specifically, I have a GMW-15 and a WQV-10 which would benefit from a polish with polyWatch. But how can I know which version of polyWatch to use? Thanks.
Generally resin watches have acrylic crystals but tapping lightly with the back of your finger nail will produce a dull sound for acrylic crystals. Glass will a more crisp sound. I believe both of those watches have acrylic crystals.
I so want to. Unfortunately I had to tear down my studio to turn it into a kids bedroom. We have temporary custody (over a year already) but should be back with parents in a few months. I will be back, watch this space.
A nice neat module. You'll notice the trim regulation screw (brass) next to the AC on the frame plate.
superb video and professional workmanship. really good music to! thanks a lot.
nice video !!! this video helped me to restore my Casio W-700! We all hope you will make more videos!

This was really satisfying to watch, thank you.
This is the best watch channel on RUclips about vintage 80s Casio watches! Why did you stop from making videos my friend? Hope you alright and happy!
Excelente trabajo. Enhorabuena.

Nice video, where can I buy the o-rings, c clips, and the alarm springs?

Good job friend 👏 👍 👌
Interesting. Could you please make a video about functionality of this module? If you still have it, of course.
Thanks 4 your video 🙂

18:50 Could I only use silicone grease inside button housings but also for the gasket?
I have a GM-5 hustle monira casio and I have the heli fighter one I definitely need more parts to restore it
Thanks for sharing.
Great job
14:26 Put your watch into a ziplock bag or wrap with clingwrap before removing those E-Rings. That way, when they fly off, they will not fly too far.
That is clever. I never thought of doing that. Thanks.
@@sathir-5990 Most welcome. 😊

What was the stuff he put on the bond
Love ur vids ❤️
Don't stop to uploading new video please
The j 50 shares the same case as all the casio game watches
Really appreciate this kind of videos.
Would you happen to have the Casio BP-120? If so, would you consider disassemble it to show around?
what screwdriver and tweezers do you use

Could make a video on DB-36
I have been wanting to do the DB-36/DB-360. Stay tuned.

Where I found this watch? I wanna buy!!
Where are you ???
Why you set your watches to 2020/6/15 3:30 PM
Whats the Name of that Grrase? Marine Grease?
👏👏👏
Why you dont upload new video again?
2021 has been a very difficult year. I'm in the process of reorganization to get the channel up a running again for 2022. Thanks for asking.
Don't touch the battery with fingers. Use ceramic tweezers 👍🙂
Pretty amazing!
But it looks like there is some "greenish" Spot around the minutes. 🤔
Sure the LCD is OK?
No. The LCD has a little screen burn which is not fixable. If anyone has a good LCD they want to donate I would be grateful.
I had a casio watch when i was young. I dont know the model i dont remember it. But i have a picture. Please help me to identify the model.
How is this a restoration?
It's just a parts swap. A true restoration would have been a repair to the module, not replacing.
U not gonna upload more videos?
I so want to. Unfortunately I had to tear down my studio to turn it into a kids bedroom. We have temporary custody (over a year already) but should be back with parents in a few months. I will be back, watch this space.
@@digitalcasio2704I think you many never come back...
I like the game watches but far too expensive so I look for fixer uppers on ebay and restore them
