Microfishing at Three Lakes WMA Kenansville Florida June 2024

Maikel and I visit a small lake in Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area after spending the day pulling hunting gear from last season. We use nets to catch some different native species to take home for our Florida freshwater native aquarium. Maikel tosses a castnet, while I use a long handled collection net. We end up with a handful of Lined Topminnow and Golden Topminnow, and release several juvenile bluegill. We have caught catfish, invasive jewel cichlids, and swamp darters here in the past, but didn't have any luck with those species on this day. Fun way to wrap up a day of adventure!
