I don't live too far from there. The whole subject of this school has been a nightmare for many years. Thanks for showing this and respecting the memory of those who were lost.
Hi, Post. Florida Gurl here. Most of those double wide trailers were used for classrooms and residences. I went to USF-Tampa. Their research departments have identified many graves there using ground penetrating radar. This is a tragic story in Florida history. It is a lesson to us all to see children as human beings and not objects of abuse and death by adults. Thanks for showing this..
Absolutely stunned by the lack of vandalism and the good condition of many of the buildings. Literally the "reform school" I was threatened with as a kid, what a living hell that place must have been, reminds me of the "Kids For Cash" judges in PA who were shipping kids off to juvie prison for minoor infractions because they were getting kickbacks from the prison owner - yes, we have privately owned prisons in the US.
Hi, Post 10! Another cool video! It made me curious, so I did a little research, because I was wondering why there seemed to be two separate cafeterias and churches. It didn't take long to discover why. There were two campuses, one for Black inmates, one for white, until 1966 when they stopped segregating them. It was amazing to find a few photos and a blueprint of the campus of what the place looked like in the 1960's. So many buildings are long gone, with no trace seen now, from what I saw in your video. It must have been a grim place to end up. Thanks for sharing.
I am shocked that any part of that places is still standing. It was a horrible place . I grew up in Florida and heard about that place all the time. I am amazed they would use any of it for anything. Thank you for sharing it and being so respectful of what it was.
Thank you post 10 for sharing this information about this historic buildings , what happened to the children at the Dozier school for boys , I’m from the uk and it fascinating to know the history behind it and very sad what went on there to them poor children 😢 I love it when you explore abandoned and historic buildings very much, it’s very interesting to know the history about them.👏
Thank you Post 10, for another informative video. What a sad and disheartening thing to happen. I hope the people in charge were charged an incarcerated. RIP to the poor soul s. God bless you Post 10 for bringing this to us
I read up on this place and its so disgusting and sad how long it was able to stay in operation. Those poor kids.... 😢. How no one has been held responsible is crazy....
Another AWESOME video from Post10! Thank you for bringing everyone along! I think the building with the internet was possibly used as part of the trade school, from what I read…they were probably teaching the boys different skills to use in order to get jobs upon being released. This video was quite somber due to the sad history. I had never heard of it before but now you have educated me! Great job portraying it and showing respect! Greetings from North Carolina ❤️❤️❤️
At that memorial site, that old iron bed with the wooden paddle is so sad. 😞 it’s amazing that type of abuse went on for so long. 1900 to 2011 is a lot of years
Florida is no better. Children living in sheds,no heat, running water, no toilet, garbage everywhere, tortoises that carry sominela, parents are drug users. Drug addicts stay there. ..... Child services has been call countless times and say, nothing to see here. They don't even go on the property. They talk to the mother by the road
I bet that place would be a good spot for a paranormal investigation. Especially with such an ugly history. I’m amazed (but not surprised) that it took so long to stop it. I know from personal experience that people will pretend not to see when abuse is happening.
What upsets me is how the state pretends It has a commitment to care. They didn't care for over 100 years ... a century. How do you ignore this for over a century part of which I was born, raised, went through all of grade schooling and joined the US Army before they finally shut it down.
I have passed this place several times when going from GA to TX. I believe I have seen that church. Mariana is building like crazy for some reason. There is still some sort of active detention center there.
Back in school we had an overhead board where the teacher would write onto a clear paper with an dry erase pen and it would cast the image onto the wall where the students could see it 😂
at 8:40 it would have been nice to have seen that large stainless mixing bowl. I was surprised no one had taken it. Saw on a WWII navy ship once. I believe it was the York Town in Charlestons SC .
Thank you for this meaningful video, Post, and for respecting the lives lost due to such senseless abuse. I myself am interested in exploring and learning more about abandoned places. I have gone to some already and it is a very unique experience. How do you find abandoned places?
That's what I thought too. We had it in Georgia and that stuff is soooo invasive. It was imported from Asia to help combat soil erosion. Unintended consequence - It'll cover buildings, fences, trees, power poles and lines. And nearly impossible to kill. Nasty stuff.
That disturbed ground where you drove in the beginning is likely from wild pig/boar rooting activity. I've seen it on my property (NE Florida) and it looks just like that. They can destroy a lot of area overnight.
Such fire videos. I think that was a time out cubby not a confession booth lol. I spent many times in detention and they had little rooms like that sometimes. Always smelled like spit and piss and BO in them with boogers all over the walls.
I couldn't tell for sure, but allot of those vines, I think that was kudzu , "Kudzu, also known as "the vine that ate the South", is a fast-growing, invasive vine that has spread throughout the southeastern United States. It's native to Japan and southeast China, but was introduced to the United States in 1876"
D'après ton numéro d'immatriculation, ils savent exactement qui tu es, Post10. Plein de compassion pour cette jeunesse qui a tant souffert dans cette école.
Hopefully, if you go back, you’ll look in the windows of the White House, that’s the most famous building there, and it also shows shows the cemetery on Google maps, it wasn’t far from where you were at
God this makes me feel so angry that nothing was done for 100 years and probably many years before and maybe still somewhere this still continues. These churches and governments do not hear the voices of children and families who suffer
The fixtures in their is what they consider anti ligature. So that way they can't be used commit you know. There's no way to tie a rope or string to them
I think the large rooms in the nurses building were like hospital wards. There wouldn't have been private rooms!! Eventually, nature reclaims everything.
Google search comes up with a lot of history. Read a few stories about white mobs lynching young black men, several that 2,000+ mobs broke into jails to lynch the accused. Crazy to think it the grand scheme of things it wasn't that long ago.
The white house was next to the memorial (if you look back at your video at 36:50). The bed was in the memorial section and the strap they used to beat the boys was on the bed. 💔💔😭😭
It’s refreshing how you post content without begging for subs & likes.
Yes, how terribly it ruins content for someone else to ask once for a sub.
I don't think you understand how it works.
Good content sells itself and some channels are asking multiple times in each video. If you wanted to sub .. you just would.
Don't think I've ever heard him say like and subscribe. I would be the same way. Dosent make me feel good asking for anything.
He’s got 816k subs

This was really cool and quite different from what you normally do. Great job as always. 🙏
I have done these exploring videos for years. Look at my playlist tab. There's a playlist for every year
Colson Whitehead’s book The Nickel Boys is based on this very school. Great book. Thanks Post.

love your exploring videos more than anything!!

When I was your age...I loved exploring old junked buildings like this.
This may sound weird...but I enjoy listening to your voice narrate your videos
Calms and relaxes me as well. Post is an asmr super star. Who knew?
@shanehibbs3829 totally agree 👍
He's very calming to listen to.
All of those pictures of the
Fla. Boys school
Buildings are very important to keep of our history of past.
Thanks for the interesting context leading up to the building.
I read up on this place and its so disgusting and sad how long it was able to stay in operation. Those poor kids.... 😢. How no one has been held responsible is crazy....

To hear you talking about smart-boards in schools makes me feel old.
The internet wasn't invented until my final year at school!
Was currently watching another Post 10 video when this popped up!
At that memorial site, that old iron bed with the wooden paddle is so sad. 😞 it’s amazing that type of abuse went on for so long. 1900 to 2011 is a lot of years

Just watched your 2 long videos I'm on an 11 hour road trip thank you for helping pass the time

We get 2 videos in one day, that's awesome, thank you..
Those group of 3 trees inside the cemetery are very old. Slow growing cedar. I bet they are over 100 years old.
How can such behaviour go on for over 100 years?! Baffling
Similar places still exist right now. Look up the Judge Rotenberg Center in Massachusetts.
You're a true Horsefighter!❤
Great explore! Thank you for sharing with us.
Heyooooo 🙌 Another one in the books!
I love exploring old buildings. which you can see.
Awesome video! Love your content.
About time this gets discovered
"I'm going to be the suspicious activity, probably" 😆lol
I have passed this place several times when going from GA to TX. I believe I have seen that church. Mariana is building like crazy for some reason. There is still some sort of active detention center there.
It's amazing to me too. Thank you. 😊
Man , you do some traveling brother, way up north in Maine, to down south in fla, lol 👍
If you drive home from Florida to New England, try to stop in Delaware. Lots of great camp sites, small towns, and places to explore.
Thanks Post.
I am fiddling "Swinging on at Gate" on my Strad.
I remember hearing about this place before. It was interesting seeing it.
Thanks for sharing this brother. keep up your awesome work.
Back in school we had an overhead board where the teacher would write onto a clear paper with an dry erase pen and it would cast the image onto the wall where the students could see it 😂
Those where the best because they'd turn the lights off so we could see the image.
They still use them
Thanks Post! 👊🏻👍🏻 Appreciate you always my friend 🙏🏻 God Bless
Very interesting video
at 8:40 it would have been nice to have seen that large stainless mixing bowl. I was surprised no one had taken it. Saw on a WWII navy ship once. I believe it was the York Town in Charlestons SC .
This is so neat!!
Interesting video Post .
Good seeing you last week buddy! Tell the parents I said hi! Boom!!
Reading the wikipedia about this place is horrifying. Thanks for showing it.
Nice!
Nice explore
Thanks for the video post
Cool!
Thank you for this meaningful video, Post, and for respecting the lives lost due to such senseless abuse.
I myself am interested in exploring and learning more about abandoned places. I have gone to some already and it is a very unique experience. How do you find abandoned places?
Those vines are likely kudzu. You should see it in the summertime. It wraps around everything south of the Mason Dixon line ;)
That's what I thought too. We had it in Georgia and that stuff is soooo invasive. It was imported from Asia to help combat soil erosion. Unintended consequence - It'll cover buildings, fences, trees, power poles and lines. And nearly impossible to kill. Nasty stuff.

Crazy to see that so many young lives were lost in that hell, may they rest in peace
Watching premiere for this right now , seems nice so far and probably same way until end
Such fire videos. I think that was a time out cubby not a confession booth lol. I spent many times in detention and they had little rooms like that sometimes. Always smelled like spit and piss and BO in them with boogers all over the walls.
I think the ground on the outside was disturb by Wild Boars.
Can’t believe I watched the whole thing!
All those piles of desks, I just can't help but think all the 1000s of boys that sat at them through the years and what happened to them. So sad.
The "white house" is in the memorial..... If those walls could Talk.
The walkway over the road is totally enclosed to prevent suicides.
We have one here in Brunswick Maine, US.
This is awesome to see! Looks like a lot of fun ❤😊
There's a Stevie Ray Vaughan song called Boot Hill, referring to a cemetery or burying ground,
seeing that just made me think of it.
Love the video ....🇦🇺🇦🇺
Those vines are kudzu. A Japanese weed brought to the south as ground cover. It took over and destroyed the vegetation.
I have seen some of the photos of the boys from this place and some do look very young.
The trailers are portable classrooms or offices the concrete ramp is to make the trailer that use to be there handicap accessible
Hi Post 👋
I couldn't tell for sure, but allot of those vines, I think that was kudzu , "Kudzu, also known as "the vine that ate the South", is a fast-growing, invasive vine that has spread throughout the southeastern United States. It's native to Japan and southeast China, but was introduced to the United States in 1876"
creeping, climbing perennial vine terrorizes native plants all over the southeastern United States
later in the video, that is Kudzu
Looks like a place on The Walking Dead.
Florida is the worst. Lol thanks post 10 for posting this
This happened in almost every state. Most of them shut down in the nineties. This is a rarity 2011
Them bumps in the grass is from hogs rooting around
Hi Post ✌️
Where in Florida was this?
If you search for the layout of dozier school, a blueprint drawing and numbered descriptions of each building is on it.
D'après ton numéro d'immatriculation, ils savent exactement qui tu es, Post10.

The showers are like that so they can't hang themselves. Ive been to behavioral med
Delapadated...🙂🙂

Starved Rock State in downstate Utica, Illinois…… they say the rock caves there are awesome
So sad. Paris Hilton has been shining on that subject, she was abused in some kid center place. 😊
What a weird smiley face to place
Yo Post in the beginning you were talking about excavator I think hogs did that that's what it looked like to me don't hold it against me 😂
The fixtures in their is what they consider anti ligature. So that way they can't be used commit you know. There's no way to tie a rope or string to them
nice to see abondoned places
2011 was 14 years ago. 😭
I just watched on Hulu the documentary on this place.
Deadly Secrets: The Children of Dozier.😢
are those old television old enough to have probably seen the moon landing?
Did any hurricanes or weather related things go through that area tearing off some roofs?
I'm shocked it hasn't been looted
I think the large rooms in the nurses building were like hospital wards. There wouldn't have been private rooms!!
Eventually, nature reclaims everything.
This went on for over 100 years, and nothing was done. I guess it's not unheard of it's unacceptable. What happened to the people who were in charge?
Google search comes up with a lot of history. Read a few stories about white mobs lynching young black men, several that 2,000+ mobs broke into jails to lynch the accused. Crazy to think it the grand scheme of things it wasn't that long ago.
The abuse that happened at this school went on as long as the doors were allowed to remain open.
Hogs probably tore up the ground.
Howdy
The white house was next to the memorial (if you look back at your video at 36:50). The bed was in the memorial section and the strap they used to beat the boys was on the bed. 💔💔😭😭
