This is what I have wanted for ages. I love Richter in Portrait of Ruin because that's where I was introduced to him originally and then I went to Rondo.
That's fair and I generally assumed as much. I certainly prefer the Metroidvania style over the Classicvanias and the stiffness that tends to be inherent to them is a large reason why. Rondo and Super Castlevania 4 are better games in my book than a lot of the Iga era but I do enjoy playing most of the Iga ones (also Circle) more.
Always felt like the game was sorely missing a cool opportunity to make Richter and Maria actually interesting by giving them the full RPG mechanics. Hopefully this hack gets more fleshed out in that regard, I love Richter's movement.
richter forgot his bandana and vampire killer last time he went to the castle, he's also just woke up and dont remember his moves but that's ok death and shaft were kind enough to leave some stuff around so he doesnt feel bad

So say, you played a randomizer of a game. The first attempt you did, the “seed” might be, 765, (usually this number is a lot longer but for the sake of simplicity). The next time you played. Your randomizer gave you seed 492. Depending on the game, you may be able to manually select a seed. And if you really liked the conditions in the world of 492, you might want to play that seed again.
In short is a value (usually a sequence of numbers and letters) used to generate something random, a world in Minecraft for example. Also if you copy the seed to another world you will always generate the exact same world, hence the category "set seed"

I wish there would be more SoTN hacks that changes castle construction ,ads new routes ,make game more non linear.

What if rondo was a good game? Well now I know why this hack is a worse take on both Rondo and Sotn! It all makes sense in the end!
What emulators can this run on? PCSX Rearmed and Beetle aren’t working for this hack even if they do for the base game.
