I know this is a little old but it still works. Practicing this tonight so hopefully my wife and I can finish this legend playthrough. Calus's arena is the worst design for a boss fight that i think I've ever seen.
We finally beat Calus this past weekend thanks to your help here. Many thanks! The 2nd round of tormentors was what kept getting us (and no 3rd to help either) but we got it done with this cheese and got our guardian rank up to 8 finally.
Bought Lightfall a few days ago when season 22 started and this is still working. Only thing I’d add is scions will shoot at you when you’re at the top of the dome so bring a pulse rifle or something to keep their numbers under control and maybe equip a solar resist mod. Otherwise it’s all good. Managed to finish the legendary campaign and this was the only really hard part so thanks for saving my ass 😂

Thank F this still worked. I dont have the best control with grapple i still died 50 times practicing grapple under stairs/jumping back up was the hardest part 😂 but getting on the bubble killed him in one go thanks
If you jump to the right hand support with the strand sphere directly above its far easier. Position yourself in the lower rail of the support it shields you from the rockets from the right and keep firing down incoming fire whilst headshot ting him. Second phase you will be almost in the bubble simply look up and grab the sphere and again across to the top of the bubble at you’re leisure. Far less stressful

It was either getting pushed off the or suppressed while grappling away when I tried not to get suppressed. But I got him, didn't I? Nope he has a second phase where he constantly runs at you on a *SMALLER* arena and you can also hit you off the map. Fuck this shit, I can't believe Bungie has never don't anything to change this boss. First fight I legit thought it was one of the best boss fights ever, but when I got yeeted the first few times I knew it was shit design
The point is that Bungie planned this boss fight really bad, you're supposed to swing around with your strand ability, which works not as intended, lots of enemies with heavy armor. In my playthrough it did even stopped to drop heavy ammo. Lightfall was in its entirety kind of a let down, my opinion of course.
Thank fuck this still works. I was stuck for a good 3 hours and after exhausting solar bonk titan and void overshield spam i threw in the towel and just cheesed it. Fuck this boss but thank u for this video Edit: did it again on my hunter and it was even eaiser with lucky pants malfeasance

Just completed on My Hunter even though I'm a Warlock main it was tricky at first for falling an grappling to spot but eventually I got it. I went to the area In the back dropped off an aimed for the side an then jumped an landed just barely an then walked backwards until my character moved into the spot. The second part was easy an you wasn't kidding about those Psions they managed to kill Me but I watched where they spawned an I picked them off as they spawned an beat Calus. Only if Strand Hunter had way to themselves. Regardless of all that It works an I got it done ✅ an wanna thank you 💕 so much 🥰 again. May u be blessed in the name of the father son holy spirit Amen 🙌 hallelujah.

Wow wtf…..really wish i watched the video prior to starting the fight…. Spent 15 minutes killing this dude only to get dropped right on the regiments after killing him and then getting killed myself…..Damn this game!
Not like it mattered lmao… had to do this damn fight like 8 times taking 20min each to get him down low enough to the second phase not to f**k up the jump to the above platform and fall to my death 7/8 times 🤣 💀 luckily I got it nice and clean on my 8th.
just go up on catwalk move to next when he is about to rain down fire and focus tormenter fast phase 1 done, phase two just stay on the main platform and away from boss and burn him down.
Adds can kill u up on top of his dome/bubble, I did this last night & died few times from adds shooting at me & once I was running around & fell thro his dome/bubble. So be aware need to kill those adds not tormenters just other red bars psions can kill you, u need to clear them asp machine gun 1 shot then, can thro nades thro dome/bubble also.
Still works. Life safer. I was bashing my head against this fight for maybe 2 hours. Finally just used Thunderlord to mow Calus down until the dome comes out. Cheesed him. Awesome video 👍🏻
Definitly help me to beat calus in legendary. I used your method to go downstair and be pretected, I also took time to kill both tormentors. Then for second phase, I did not managed to get up the dome so I had to kill him in the arena. I used Parasite grenade launcher to finish him while jumping.
so i did this and it was awesome to cheese this bastard. i opted to use Sweet Business instead of Striga due to the ammo count and it made it go by much easier, also found out that i could walk along the bubble so it made hitting him even easier

@@Cheezyb3an i can confirm 2nd phase still works, find the with the cheese 2nd phase is very easy, 1st phase is time consuming as the other enemies can sometimes get in the way
@@Cashy384 yeah it can be pretty time consuming. This is an old video though so it might even be easier to just play the mission through normally now, I'm not sure.
@@weneedtoevolve yeah you should be able to do it with a warlock. Make sure when you're using the grapple, you hold the left stick forwards to gain speed, it might help you make the distance up that you're missing. Heads up: there was a mid season update like 2 days ago, so I'm not sure if it still works, but I'll give it a try in a bit and let you know 👍🏻
