We just got back from our Antartica Cruise with SilverSea Endeavour. Everything you explained is to the point. We truyly enjoyed every single moment. Lucky for you, you got an extra day on the ship. Weather was to perfect for us to do all landing and no delays on disembarkment. It was truly the best trip of our lives.
As we've been planning our 2024 departure for Antarctica, I've been looking at a lot of videos on youtube about the various lines' offerings. We decided to go with Silver Endeavour's Falklands/South Georgia/Antarctica cruise, and this video is the best one I've seen of the ship and your trip. I know the itineraries are different, but the trip outlines are the same. We're also on deck 7, just past the elevator a little more mid-ship. Thanks for a great video, it made me even more excited about experiencing continent 7 on the Silver Endeavour next year!
I'm not a cold weather person but your video does make me want to go to Antarctica for the adventure. Love the explanations and cinematography. Looks amazing and fun!
I enjoyed your videos. I wish you had mentioned the month of the year you were on this cruise. In fact, may I suggest you do that in all your cruise reports because it could have a positive or negative impact on the cruise experience, notably the weather.
Wow!! What an amazing video!! Makes me want to go there! I’ve always been afraid to because I can get seasick, so the idea of flying over there is much more appealing! This looks like such an adventure!
I went in 2016 on the SilverSea Silver Explorer... I agree with everything you said. A once in a lifetime trip for me. and I got to experience "The Drake" 8-{
Hi Chris and Rickee--we are booked for the 15 day Bridge Jan 2025 in a Silver Suite. We like your Point of View and your new Coffee format. Where are you cruising to next?
Im looking longingly at the 26 day voyage into the arctic next summer. I cant afford to drop a mercedes on a cruise right now. But its a bucket list item.
Not going on the bridge-doing the whole thing on the Endeavour! Very excited and knock on wood that the weather will cooperate! Does the crew take your luggage aboard Zodiacs before after it takes the passengers, and how was the amount of your luggage limited for the charter flight?
Hello Chris and Rickee from John and Vera in Annapolis. We are researching Antarctica and truly enjoyed your detailed vid. Any cruiser can relate--as we compared your explorations to our Galapagos experience on Celebrity Expedition. We are checking out your other posts. That swanky Silver Endeavour does stand out.
WOW! What an adventure, not I loved watching you do it. This ship must be used for good weather also, , I don't see need for a balcony. Was the ship warm enough?
My wife and I live in the DFW area and are looking into either Antarctica (Expedition) or South America & the Chilean Fjords (Ocean) currently exploring Viking and Silversea for Antarctica. A couple of questions if I may? Did you book airfare independently or through the cruise line? How did the delayed disembarkation affect your air travel? Keeping in mind that Silversea would be the tip top of our budget range are there any other cruise lines we should be considering for an Antarctica Expedition? Thank you.
@@blessedandhappy3921 Our air was booked through Silversea so they took care of all air rescheduling. One good reason to book air with the cruise line.
Hi Chris, did this trip stop by Port Lockroy? I didn't see it on your blog. If they didn't stop at Lockroy, was it weather related or was it never on the planned stops? Many thanks!
wooow what an amazing natural places the antarctic is another world for ourselves. I have a question how was you experience in drake passage ??? jajaaj I will travel to antarctica in 2025 my ship departure in ushuaia because is very cheap in comparate to punta arenas in mi city the antartic programs are more expensive than Usuahia because Chile it have a lot of ports taxes and high taxes in special jajaj :( . i live in punta arenas chile i am saving up for this special trip my final trip around the world the antartica is the only continent that I should step in this life as its only one I'm missing in general. regards.

A trip of a lifetime. Really special.
So cute to see the curious penguins!
Excellent video. Looking forward to my 2026 expedition.
Looks awesome! My wife hates the cold, so she'd probably be ready to get back on that luxurious ship after like 10 minutes of ice time...
Not a big fan of cold myself.

Good to know about the motion activated lighted make-up mirror so I won’t think I’m crazy! 😂 Nice to know about the plugs.

Question-I see people with one hiking pole. Why not two? Does Silversea provide the poles? Thank you in advance. Excellent video!
Silversea does provide poles. Probably only one pole to keep hand free for taking photos!
@@CruiseReport Oh, okay. I am a hiker so I always use two. Good explanation though. Thanks.

We did not stop at Port Lockroy and I can't remember if it was a planned stop. We did miss a couple of stops due to weather.

We did not traverse the Drake Passage on this cruise. We flew into Antarctica instead.

Just turn the mirror around
The interior designer should be fired. I can't believe this is new.
