When this came out, I was in high school and absolutely loved to listen to this stuff during Ski Club trips. Don't think I even viewed the video back then, I had to extract the audio to listen to it on some portable MP3 player. It's so great to see it around still.

I think you're pretty much dead on. I'd say that they've been in Western RUclips for quite a few years, just Ricardo happened to explode in popularity and not gachimuchi for some reason. See International Wrestling Festival.
Gachimuchi is hella big since years, go to any major twitch channel and theyll probably have gachi emotes. Ricardo is only a recent addition
When Ricardo Milos became popular I knew I had seen it somewhere in like 2016 but I couldn't figure out where until I randomly decided to rewatch this one day. It was the weirdest thing since I don't really know much about the origin of the meme and this video came out at the end of 2013.
Gachi and riccardo blew up in popularity in the western world back in 2015-2016 but riccardo for some reason reblew up in 2019

To the day, it is now eight stunning years since this wonderful medley has been produced. Although I am not a musician or video editor myself, the creative spirit of content like this will continue to amaze me. As 8, 16, and 24 more years pass, my greatest hope is that the urge to make greatness out of anything, even as humble as a Sesame Street skit, continues. What we look upon here is the dawn of Internet folklore, and I for one hope the journey of Jack to find his beloved octagon will inspire the generations that lie before us to not use the Internet for endless doomscrolling, but for making creations that make life worth living.
I love the attention to detail in this video, I'm catching things now that i never noticed in 2014.
At 5:45 the song is "demon tale sonata", a remix of Koishi Komeiji's theme "Hartmann's Youkai Girl" from Touhou 11. At 5:52 you can see portraits of Karl Robert Eduard von Hartmann, Heinz Hartmann and Sigmund Freud (I haven't found the last person), who all studied the unconscious mind, which her ability is to manipulate it.
I just thought that that attention to detail was amazing, as well as other details in the video.
6/3/2020: I still haven't found the fourth person yet. It very well might be Paul Sollier as someone in the comments pointed out, but I haven't been able to find a picture of him in the chair as shown in the video to be absolutely sure.

I'm going to be completely honest: this is my favourite video on RUclips of all time. So much effort and time has been made in this ytpmv. 14 people and the creator of Brain Power Noma, have made a video of a outdated meme and made something good out of it. Every time I watch this video, I always have a smile on my face. The visuals are great, the medley is great and the music is great. I have seen no spot for improvement or any mistakes. Thanks for this video, and I hope to see another video like this soon.
This video is my childhood. I remember watching it curiously, wondering how could someone make this masterpiece. I fell in love with the idea od YTPMV, so I downloaded a pirate copy of Vegas. I didn't know anything, but being curious led me to have almost full knowledge of it today.
