Idolmaster was my favorite anime during my teen years. And Touhou is one of the craziest rabbit holes you could ever go down. It's been such a wild ride. The origin of the legend, Jack. This is when he first learns of the existence of an octagon, and when he first feels the burning desire to acquire one. Just the thought of one fills him with joy, and he clearly comes from simpler times with less sides and angles. But if he finds an octagon, he will finally feel fulfilled and complete. He goes over everything in his mind, trying to motivate himself and figure out what to do. This spurs him into a state of emotional turmoil and confusion. Perhaps this journey ahead will not bring him solace? Perhaps instead it will disappoint him and worsen his pain? But he must. And so he will. If he finds the octagon, then all his pain and unhappiness will stop.
