    Regarding the pipe and terminal accessories attachments, inside most of the wall sections there is a small port designed to house a magnet. The accessories also have a port in the back. No need to glue them to your walls. Keeps everything modular.

    I kind of went a little over the top with necromunda terrain and tiles. Spent a good month or so clipping all the elements and scraping mould lines, ended up getting temporary nerve damage/repetitive strain injury and had to lay off anything heavy duty with my hands for a while.
    Let that be a warning for folks, don't do what I did for lengthy periods of time, hurts like a bugger.
    Upside is I've got storage boxes full of prepped terrain parts now so i can just grab and glue and not have to clean up as I go.

    Once you've got the terrain bug you're knackered, but thats the beauty of Necromunda. The terrain is the star of the show.
    The ZM sets are pretty good. Way better than their FW equivalents. They're very pricey though. I've found a complete set of STLs that are virtually identical to the originals that come out really nice in resin. They fit exactly onto the floor tiles (in fact better in some respects). The only thing they're missing is any battle damage or greebles. All the column/wall sections are flat.
    I've been running them through Blender and modelling some damage, and adding stuff like vents, control panels etc. I lifted a lot of 3D assets from Inquisitor Martyr to use for this. With a bit of texturing they looked sufficiently battered and used. I created some alcoves in the columns and added some of the statues from Inquisitor too. I'm particularly proud of those. They look like original parts. Now I'm just trying to model the original ZM stuff like the scribe station and containment tanks.
    With regards to magnetising stuff. The only things I magnetised were the odd wall section for the control panels. Those control panels have some functional/narrative use, so they're handy to have, but not worth gluing into place because of screwing up the modularity of everything.

    • @HouseOfChaosUK
      @HouseOfChaosUK  Год назад +1

      Thank you for the advice. I could play with the terrain all day. I've always loved gw 40k terrain but Necromunda terrain really is well thought out, top class

    • @chikhai
      @chikhai Год назад +1

      @@HouseOfChaosUK It's probably the best plastic terrain set they've made. The only minor let down for me was the lack of vents (something I've always included when I've arbitrated games).
      I bought three boxes of the Corpse Grinder Vs Enforcers boxed set as it was such good value for money. I was supplementing those with the individual wall/column sets until I started printing my own.
      The only thing missing really is a decent set of floor tiles for when you want to go vertical. The walkways are good, but ideally you want proper floor sections like you had with Sector Imperialis (a massively underrated terrain set).
      The modularity aspect is great, but when you can build self-contained sections on one floor tile you can start building some really nice thematic stuff. You can quite easily build gang territories on a single tile and incorporate those into your games.

    The plastic ZM stuff is great, but for value I'd use TTCombat's MDF Iron Labyrinth set, £30 for 11 columns, 8 walls, doors platforms etc. You can also get their modular board which is £14 for two 1 x 1 tiles

    • @HouseOfChaosUK
      @HouseOfChaosUK  7 месяцев назад

      That's an incredible difference. I travel a lot with me necromunda terrain and I find the mdf doesn't like travelling, the cold, heat, damp etc. Great for keeping at home though. Although you can add filler or something to toughen it up
