We've got to meet up some time in the near future, I have a 14 EGT MT with suspension mods. Its setup for autocross but plan of doing some HPDE in July at Gingerman Raceway.
I got the limited trim. I installed a CAI but it did absolutely nothing to my car. I think it should be a combination of CAI, downpipe and catback replacement.
@@jamesgand828 their exterior is just such a clean shape and would be dope, but sadly there’s just no room in the hood or room on the outside to modify anything
With all the mods installed, specifically this one, did you notice any significant or even minor difference? I also have a Hyundai Elantra gt 2013 fully loaded and the mpg is iffy. City wise I get from a range between 14-20 while highway 23-31. No mods at all. I just recently added an AEM dryflow air filter so hopefully that does something.
Modern cars are usually HP-limited by the computers. I had a 2009 Cobalt SS that had all the performance parts I could put on it...wasn't until we cracked the computer and tuned for those mods that it started to do anything.
I am new to the GT family I have a 17 and was wondering if the mods for the 13 up work the same for the 17 looks like they have the same engine bay set up though mine is a 2.0l and i believe the 13 through 15 or 16 was the 1.8l let me know and hopefully send me links for parts sites
Yes the 2013-2017 generation is the same here in North America. The 2103 was 1.8 while the 2014+ was 2.0. As far as I know everything works interchangeably between them.
@@jessedeal930 Nope basically everything is long gone. The only item I still have that I know of is a European License Plate mount for the front grille.
If you are the person in the video I suppose. The video advertises a Velossa tech big mouth ram air addition part. It suggests a site velostech.com to go to in order to get a discount. I did such and now I am on day 11 waiting for my product to ship.
@@JustinKellyJust curious - since I’m also thinking about doing both the K&N CAI and this VelossaTech. My buddy is telling me to not do this, but how has it worked for you? He thinks it will hurt my engine. 2018 EGT
I was just kidding, but those little plastic things that hold the plastic are just a pain, I always break them. That scoop is pretty sick tho. I know the turbo is coming soon haha
Great video! Very informative and an awesome step by step tutorial on how to get it done efficiently! Thank you Justin!
Thanks! 😁
I like the straight bar grille on my 16 gt. Hope to get one of these soon!
Yeah I think you will see it behind your grille more than mine. The newer grille looks cleaner too... I regret selling mine 😔
Thanks for the tutorial! I need to change the grille of my 2016 (same straight lines). Is it easy to remove it from the bumper?
Ive heard its pretty difficult but can be done. Just a lot of little clips.

Got mine last December. Be sure of the brake pedal recall. Just replaced my spark plugs and all coil packs.
@@wiccedyote3816 haven't received that recall

Yes!

Is that also a K&N CAI that you have installed in this video?
Yes

@@JustinKelly do you have a link? also I love your 2013 gt i have the same one in manual and i want it to look like yours
What about when it rains? Will water go in?
No
@@JustinKelly thanks
does it increase hp i got a 2014 elantra gt and am thinking about adding some mods to make it quicker but idk what to do
No but it may improve fuel economy and throttle response.
Can u show how to install a cold air intake
Sorry this car is gone. It is very similar to installing my intake on my current car though.
Where di you buy the from lip
Its an ADRO V.1 body kit. Not sure if they make it anymore or not. My old kit was for sale again by the guy I sold it to last I saw.
I have a 2014 GT does this help with better sound and throttle response?
It does not change sound but may help slightly with throttle response while moving.
Will this same setup fit on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra coupe se? If I get the same cold air intake
The intake should. Not sure about the Velossa Tech snorkel.
I have the same question. Does the mouth fit on elantra Sedan 2013?
Where did you got the front spoiler
ADRO V.1. I don't think you can buy it anymore.
Dónde lo compraste?
What does it do more ?
Im wondering why putting it
For the reasons stated at the beginning of the video
Nice mod, but not for $140 + !! Maybe I will get my buddies son to 3D print a similar one for me.
Why not run it? Good video but always run it
