Mental anguish is such a scary thing. I've been in some dark places and the thought of taking my own life came to me more than once. Thank you for telling your story without holding back. If you save one single life (and I'm sure you have) then what you are doing is a complete success

BTW, I saw that the life saving net installation on the GGB has been completed.
I walked across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge last year. There were signs every few hundred feet to call a certain number if you need help. I’ve seen that sign at railroad crossings as well. I hope that people will call if they need help.

I got to see you in Williamsport, PA last night. Such a powerful presentation. I myself don't live with brain pain, but an uncle of mine who I was super close to did. He took his own life 15 years ago. Thank you for everything you do to spread awareness. You're saving lives and your story is an inspiration.
P.S. One of my closest friends name is Herbert. It's one of my favorite names too.

Mr. Hines, I just saw you for a bit today in Sonora. You are amazing. Having said that, I feel your talk is good for those contemplating suicide. For a parent who's lost a child to suicide and listening to your tiny details on "that" morning was too much for me. I couldn't stay to listen to your feelings/experience once you got on the Golden Gate Bridge. I had to leave after about 20-25 mins.

Hello, and I’m so sorry that the presentation was too much for you often those who stay till the end find the hope and light in the story. But I understand completely that you couldn’t do that given what’s happened to you and your family and your incredible and immeasurable loss which I feel so saddened by and for. I do talk a lot in the rest of the presentation about how to cope with grief from loss of a suicide. I hope your reach out anytime you need moral support. Me and this channel are here for you.

My son, of 28 yrs, is suffering from psychosis (persecutory delusional disorder) along with a lot of anxiety. He is not yet on an anti-psychotic medication and I was hoping to find out what worked for Kevin? I know there are many different meds, and some work better for some than others, but just curious what finally worked for Kevin? This would be really helpful. You are inspiring Kevin - but you already know this. 👼👼👼

The worst thing you can do is meds. It will never help you permanently it will only prolong your progression. Meditation and time. Learning to control the human mind by actually dealing with the human experience naturally
Medication is important to manage psychosis. Different medications work differently for different people, so it’s finding the right medication. Both a psychiatrist and psychologist would need to be seen. He needs to seek therapy from a therapist who he feels he can have a good connection with so he can work on cognitive reframing to rewire his brain! I’m sorry you are dealing with this.

No I don’t because I get to be here and it’s a gift every waking moment. Hundreds of thousands of people have said this story saved their lives. I’m no life saver but the more people who hear the story the more people it can potentially positively affect. Thanks and that’s my only goal to help people find Hope and hopefully recovery ❤️🩹

I am a suicide survivor and your story has kept me from attempting many times since then, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. @@KevinHinesI live a few miles from the Shenandoah National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. Many many people go to the park to commit suicide and many just disappear. The exposure deaths aren't counted as suicides because I guess they just assume someone got lost?
I appreciate your video and wish the mental health professionals( in my experience..) would stop treating people with huge anxiety as drug seeking or malingering.
Those thoughts are demons. Only Jesus Christ can deliver you from this! Jesus Christ is Lord! The devil only wants to kill and destroy you and claim your soul!
