- I was driving on the motorway earlier and realised that the car was struggling for power. Eventually after restarting the car the Check engine light came on and the car was officially in limp mode. Join me to find out what the problem is.

Raptor is a damn solid truck, enjoy it :)
I assume you checked the oil level after refixing the hose? It does appear to be the Garage's fault, they may have forgotten to tighten the clip after sorting out the recalls.
Yeah oil levels are ok. I will get them to take a look though and top it up (at their expense) if necessary!! 🙂
Glad you fixed it
had the same car in thailand. U have to change out all those rubber pipes with stainless pipes . standard procedure here with rangers and raptors
Got a friend with a Raptor 90k km's not a issue and they go off roading all the time.
My own Raptor 17k kms and two friends with Raptors no problems whatsoever. I believe the dealer did not tighten the house clamp properly.
Good to know! Totally agree. Will tell them tomorrow !👍
Man, it's a new car probably under warranty and problems started after it went trough a recall... Bring it to the garage and let them fix it.
Don't touch it yourself and don't drive it knowing there is something wrong. If your engine or turbos break they could blame you...
I was thinking that but it was just a hose so I think i'll be ok!
Purchased my Ranger Raptor in March 2020 love it (£50k) then I get the recalls, 3in total; then faults come up on dash, hill descent, collision avoidance, hill start assist, all inop, this was down to a faulty brake balance switch, then in March 2021 truck wasn’t running right, lack of power, lumpy tick over,,noisy & smoking, oil & water levels all ok, went down to my dealership & asked if a technician could come out to have a listen, was told no because of Covid-19 so booked it for 2wks time, 3 days later engine blew up on the M25 between M11 & A12, I have been without my truck for nearly 4mths now, why didn’t I buy Japanese & save myself £20k 😔
Yeah sorry to hear what you went through but next time go Japanese hilux or Isuzu
Have you managed to get this all sorted now? If you have any issues with it, bring it to Marshall Ford Cambridge and I’ll take care of it for you
truth. My RR is only in service. never ford again.
my ranger went into a ford dealer under warranty, two days after collecting it the oil filter came off where it had not been put back on property and the entire engine went bang on the m40, dumping most of its oil on the unsuspecting poor cars behind. Still in warranty, after much tooing & froing with the Ford dealer, with different Ford dealers blaming each other they finally said it needed a new engine, i got them to buy it off me for a reasonable price, got there in the end, still drive a ford, i gueses these things happen, lesson learnt, always check after its been into a dealer for recalls or work
Sounds like a nightmare! Hopefully just a one off!! Give the Cambridge dealer a call if you are still having difficulty. John will sort you out! :)
My wildtrak went through a recall to get some things tightened before, maybe the raptor would have something similar?
The wild track recalls on the 2.0 are for checking DPF bolts as one comes loose and sometimes a bracket cracks :)
Purchased my brand new ranger raptor back in May 2021 currently with 9k kms still practically brand new. Been going in and out of the ford garage since December 2021 had squeaking brakes they changed brake pads changed rotors now they say they change callipers, all 4 injectors have been changed. Now a new problem persists when a/c is turned on there is a rattling noise from the undercarriage thinking might be a faulty a/c compressor but technicians say sound is coming from the transmission. Honestly I regret buying a raptor.
Sorry to hear that you have been having difficulty. Which dealer do you use?
have the same. allmost 130.000 km but not even one month without service. terrible quality of car maintenence. never ford again
Seems like luck was on your side....but why did the pipe come off in the 1st place ?
I don’t think Ford put it back on properly when it was in for the recall work
My raptor was throwing oil dealer siad turbos are done... so new turbos... 93000klm
Oh he is my dad by the way
Any update news after nearly 1 year with the car?👍
Its coming! I'm sorry I've been absolutely rubbish at uploading videos! New year, new start!
Fix Or Repair Daily.
Remap to 275bhp and 650Nm
And they say defenders are unreliable 🤷🏼♂️
Haha 😂 although to be totally fair to the Raptor I don’t think it was the unreliability of it, more the unreliability of the mechanic who probably didn’t put it back together properly!! 😅
Good job daddy :)
That pipe should never be undone there regardless of what work it has done. It has two quick release clips either side! But hey ho, it’s being replaced now 👨🏼🔧
Haha thanks John. Are you saying I shouldn’t have tightened with the jubilee clip?
Great video of the Raptor thanks for sending it and for sorting me out! Also did you leave a hot wheels lotus esprit on the passenger seat?? 😂😂👍👍
No you’re right to have tightened it up to get you mobile but who ever worked on it previously, should never have undone that!
And yeah, I thought you’d like that with your collection of lotus!
@@johnforeman5816 Haha amazing, very cool indeed. Thanks so much John. Will give you guys a shout out on my next vid (long overdue) as I'm super impressed with the customer service!!
There’s always room for improvement with customer service in my opinion. Personally I think that your vehicle should have had a clean whilst it’s in, but obviously with us being a commercial vehicle workshop, you can imagine the state of most of the vehicles we get hence we don’t have a dedicated valetor! But I’m pleased to here you’re happy! When your vehicle comes back for the front cover replacement, I’ll probably be the one to carry that at too!
Yeah it’s a slight shame that the raptor falls within commercial but all the same it’s not a problem, I can imagine most of the stuff comes filthy!! What is the front cover work? I wasn’t aware of anything further ? Cheers!
Post new vids
I’m getting back into it soon!!
@@CharlieDrives It would be good to see you again
Seriously I’ve said it before , you shouldn’t be allowed to own any cars
😂 need to buy more MTBs I think !!!
Get rid of this s h i t box and get a Hilux.
Nah 😜
@@CharlieDrives Then don't bitch about it, because it's a Ford and you knew very well, that it was gonna be unreliable.
It’s a hose that clearly wasn’t put back on properly. I’d call it unreliable workmanship and not down to the truck. Anyway who’s bitching?
Calm down Chad. Try keeping your Hilux on 4 wheels around a slight corner
Hehe 😂😂
