I know that this reply is a bit late, but I just watched this video and saw your comment. Like, I am already proud I got my boyfriend to use a moisturizer (his skin is so dry it was literally pealing off before). I try to make him use cleanser but it's unsuccessful so far. Although I'm sure he loves to moisturize his face, I can see that.
One time I asked my boyfriend if he had a moisturizer I could use after the shower because I forgot mine and when I was about to get into the shower he seriously handed me his body lotion. Like a scented drugstore body lotion and I have very dry and sensitive skin. He is so bad with skincare. The only thing he thankfully takes care of is his beard.
My boyfriend only washes his face with water in the shower .. but apart from some large pores on his nose his skin is perfect ! I’m almost afraid to tell him to do anything cause it seems to me that what he’s doing atm isn’t hurting him. Although I would like if he used a spf !! 🙊

Susan! Awesome point about "organic" and "natural" products. There are many natural products that I love but it sucks that people are using these terms in an almost militant way (and there is some scaremongering involved too), especially given how sensitising many "natural" compounds are. I wish more companies created products using blends of synthetic and natural ingredients. I'm a big fan of using safe, non-reactive synthetic products as their production is more controlled and they sometimes are better for the environment anyway - why cut down forests of willow bark trees when you can synthesise salicylic acid in a lab? But I can understand why some people want to only use nature-sourced products (I tend to go all-natural/food grade on my lipstick myself so I can be a bit of a hypocrite I guess).
Anyone else used to be obsessed with watching makeup tutorials until they found this channel? I'm obsessed and now with watching the Harper's Bazar Go To Bed With Me Series. Love skincare now. I take so much of her advice. 😊
Love the point you make about fragrances and "natural" ingredients! I'm sensitive to some skin care ingredients but didn't know until recently that fragrances, even essential oils, can be sensitizing and could turn into an allergy
I hate the whole "organic" trend. I mean guys...uranium is organic. That doesnt mean it's good for you. Chemical and artificial products are just as good if not better than organic due to the stability.
It's so annoying! I actively AVOID "natural" and "organic" products because they're generally full of essential oils (the worst type of fragrance), higher priced because they're natural and organic, more likely to cause a bad reaction on sensitive skin like mine, and often marketed with pseudoscience.
ming-meii zhao Oh shut it - it’s not just that. What about animal welfare? Industrial farming is one of the biggest crimes of humanity. Plus the pesticides used in farming pollute rivers and soil. Buying organic produce from local farmers is the only way to go.
He didn't say the toner and Vitamin C serum unclog his pores. He said they even out his skin. Also, to say that men have thicker skin because it tends to be oiler is a broad generalisation in many ways. If there is something to critique here, it is the fact that he didn't recommend using the Tata Harper cleanser before the face wash. Loved the fact that Susan pointed out the greenwashing that tends to overlook the potential irritants in "safe" organic skincare.
Please make a video about 7 skin method. I'm curious about your opinions on this subject because you mentioned a lot about overdoing skincare products. Love from Vietnam
Thank you so much for pointing out that organic does not mean safe and good for your skin! As someone with lots of allergies I can’t go near anything with those labels and essential oils are the worst I joke the more artificial the better since I’m less likely to be allergic to something totally chemical and fake!
When I'm doing my skincare routine, I find myself talking to my mirror about what I'm doing, what I'm using and why and imaging what Susan would critique
The melatonin drink and gummies scared me. I hope young people realize how dangerous those can be especially if on antibiotics or regular medication. He obviously knows how to use them but someone who doesn’t could really hurt themselves. Sometimes developing regular sleep patterns for ourselves and avoiding beverages with caffeine after 7pm can help aid sleep. I also like to use my notepad or reminders real quick before bed to jot down things I don’t want to forget so that my mind doesn’t race all night.
So agree about essential oils in most organic and natural products. Cutting them out was very helpful for reducing the redness in my skin. I'm so reactive!!
I really enjoyed that also..my son is about the same age as Anthony, he also is great about his skincare, and I'm very proud that I started him on sun protection before he was 2 and he kept up with using sun protection to this day. He also showed interest into Mens Clinique in his early teens and still is taking care with nice men skin care to this day. So it's good you had Anthony on because when sons, husbands, boyfriends are overhearing a man on your series, it just enforces to men that it's normal, and they too may also pick up good advice from the men about skin care too.
Susan Yara no hate or anything, I just personally think that you have a certain influence on people, you can just might as well tell them to save some water. I get that it’s not skincare related but it’s really important, so a few seconds for that in the video should be okay, right?
One more thing to point out during his cleanse is that a lot of the makeup gets stuck to the clarisonic brush and we don't know how well he cleans it after each use. Plus, the head of the brush gets replaced approx. every 3 months, so you can imagine how much gunk accumulates on it which isn't very sanitary for the skin.
If you join her wellness/beauty facebook group called "Beauty and Wellness Questions Answered by MIXED MAKEUP", you can actually submit your skincare routine for Susan to look at and possibly react to!! She posted about it on July 15, if you want to look for it
Well... I have allergies. The Tata Harper products like the resurfacing mask and the exfoliating cleanser are gentle and they don't irritate my skin. Plus, I haven't noticed a strong fragrance with those products.
Also, I completely agree about eye creams. I've yet to find a life-changing, really awesome eye cream. They all just feel like a basic moisturizer, but for a much higher cost considering how little product you get. I've just stopped using eye cream and use my moisturizer in that area. For depuffing, I use the little under eye gels and keep them in the fridge, as well as a jade roller that I keep in the fridge and use on my face and gently on my undereyes in the morning.
Very informative video Susan. 💙 I really enjoy watching your videos. 💙 How do you feel about the ponds cold cream makeup remover for dry skin for removing makeup ?
Hi Susan, as a teen I deal with hormonal acne and my parents and I have decided to seek help in fighting the breakouts.I was wondering whether you would recommend seeing an esthetician or a dermatologist? I love your videos! 💕
Im not susan but it's a dermatologist to see. I won't recommend to use benzoyl peroxide if they would prescribe one it's too harsh and drying, overall disgusting, I've been there. But if any oral medication is given, that'll work. If I am to recommend a product, try Pyunkang Yul Acne Line. It's super gentle yet effective.
@@BreadJourney it really works on active acne but it's disgustingly drying and doesn't prevent acne. I'd rather go for products that contain willow bark extract and licorice. It reduces inflammation, lighten scars&hyperpigmentation, and reduce scarring of new pimples. Technically the two ingredients together heals and flattens acne without drying and leaving so much scar. Benzoyl peroxide tend to leave a gross dry patch on dried up acne which you can never hide with makeup. You can hide imperfections but not texture. Next? Tea tree oil. Antibacterial, anti inflammatory, heals acne without so much of dry patches. Let's admit it. Benzoyl peroxide is so dated and disgusting. There's so many other active ingredients that do the job without drying you skin.
@Mark D-R, DMD what are you on about? I've used benzoylperoxide for a long time. You're supposed to put a thin layer on and use a good moisturizer. The dryness goes away after three days or so. And i wouldn't call benzoylperoxide or the dryness disgusting, that's a bit of an overreaction. Kind of rude to people with natural dry skin. None of the products you named prevent acne. And tea tree oil can also be irritating on the skin and cause dryness, redness and itchiness If your dermatologist recommends you use benzoylperoxide, listen to them, not some youtube comment.
@@cleargreen123456789 cleargreen123456789 of course I've been to a dermatologist. Lol did I say anything about people with natural dry skin? Don't go over the point. I said I find benzoyl peroxide disgusting due to the dryness it gives. I personally used benzoyl peroxide before and it really works on active acne but does not prevent one on my skin. ON. MY. SKIN. Perhaps you won't misinterpret that again. ON. MY. SKIN. If that works for your skin, then go use it. Oh well of course every ingredient has its down side. Benzoyl peroxide worked for you, good. But it didn't for me. It left me with dryness and redness on my skin. Tea tree oil makes my skin red and dry too but only on high concentrations (
Thanks again for all the useful information I have sensitive combination acne prone skin and I also have a lot of allergies and I've been looking into the Avene skincare brand. I've been binge watching your videos and you mentioned them thanks again.
I totally agree with you that a moisturiser can do just as good a job as eye creams. Ive bought many expensive eye creams in the past. I see no difference personally between carefully applying a face moisturiser to the eye area and eye creams in the past I have used. The area looks moisturised and dewy either way.
Olly actually has vitamins that have melatonin and ceramides in them and great skin vitamins with hyaluronic acid and collagen in them and they’re amazing I really seen an improvement in my skin
I love this series! It's a great thing you pointed out about the organic.I have a huge allergy to at least 14 allergens and as I got older (18 upwards) I started getting horrible skin allergies, so I am very careful about what use. I think I took it after my grandma who has horrible skin allergies and rosatia all her life up to the point when she can't even use deodorants, make-up, some face creams ect. Right now I am having a battle with scalp allergies - I don't know what shampoo to use, because my scalp get inflamed, especially around the edges of my hair.Idk what to do and what to do to moisturize my scalp.Any tips? Love ya! Xo from Poland
Loveeee Antoni ❤️ and I’m putting my eye cream AND my moisturizer on my eyelids and I don’t want to stop 😂 (I have sunken undereyes, so I don’t get puffy)
I have really sensitive dry skin so I put some of my acne stuff on after a light moisturizer because it protects my skin and helps prevent my skin from drying out or getting really irritated from the acne products Also, I don’t worry about wasting product on my hands because I want my hands to be protected from aging and the sun too! And guys long term melatonin is so bad for you!!!
Yesss thank you for talking about organic products and allergies!! I'm allergic to way too many things and avoid organic and ”natural” things like the plague. I always get hives from them 😭 and people buy them as a gift because they think it's a good option for people with sensitive skin!!
Aestheticians are definitely not created equally. Some newbie aesthetician convinced my sister to do microdermabrasion, and then she received the worst allergic reaction ever. Make sure to find a QUALIFIED aesthetician.
Just because your sister had a bad reaction to a skin treatment doesn't mean the esthetician she saw was unqualified (she may have been, but not necessarily). No one can predict how every person's skin will react to every product and every treatment, regardless of their qualifications. But yes, your point still stands, do your research when looking for estheticians or anyone else :)
I wonder what she became allergic to from the treatment. Usually microdermabrasion is a good exfoliating treatment, either with a diamond tip device or with crushed crystals that gently brush the skin after they’ve been blown out and sucked back up. Maybe the reactions was more from a product applied afterwards

I actively AVOID "natural" and "organic" products because they're generally full of essential oils (the worst type of fragrance), higher priced because they're natural and organic, more likely to cause a bad reaction on sensitive skin like mine, and often marketed with pseudoscience.
I wish people would buy their food from organic farms and stop with the "organic" skincare
Lol. There are plenty of stable organic products. Do your research. Yikes.. you sound like a typical hippy hater
@@heyfranziska4931 the only good thing about organic foods is that they don't have as much chemical run off from fertilizers
ming-meii zhao Oh shut it - it’s not just that. What about animal welfare? Industrial farming is one of the biggest crimes of humanity. Plus the pesticides used in farming pollute rivers and soil. Buying organic produce from local farmers is the only way to go.
Love these reactions!!! You are in every comment section of Vogue and Harper‘s BAZAAR😄
Holika Holika 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ahhh, please, please, please review Liv Tyler's 25 step routine she did with Vogue. 25 Steps!!!
I was like "25 STEPS?! oh yeah she's an elf"
I love Antoni so much i feel like my heart is gonna explode 😭❤
Still haven’t watched Serena’s routine, waiting on you 🤗
u need to do a rant video on products over hyped in the video , like roasting over hyped products , like the glitter mask from glam glow comes to mind
Do a review on Liv Taylor for Vogue 25 step beauty routine pleaseeeee 🙏🏼
OMFG IM SO EXCITED
Antoni is an angel sent from above protect him at all cost!!😂😂❤️
I'm getting major Patrick Bateman American Psycho vibes from Antoni, if they ever did a remake he could totally pull it off
Oh my gosh yes! I can't get over how much he reminds me of young Christian Bale!
How come Susan never notices people not turning the tap off, like in the Barbara Plavin one too
I noticed it, but I decided it’s not necessarily a skincare critique, so I try to leave that stuff out.
Watching this while I do my nightime skincare routine. Wonder how Susan would judge my routine? 😉
If you join her wellness/beauty facebook group called "Beauty and Wellness Questions Answered by MIXED MAKEUP", you can actually submit your skincare routine for Susan to look at and possibly react to!! She posted about it on July 15, if you want to look for it
Serena Williams next pllllllllease!!!!! Susan I can’t wait any longer lol
Well... I have allergies. The Tata Harper products like the resurfacing mask and the exfoliating cleanser are gentle and they don't irritate my skin. Plus, I haven't noticed a strong fragrance with those products.
Is this that guy from the video where he’s like “FREE GUACAMOLE”
Can you do Kathleen Lights skin care routine video?
I really enjoyed this. He’s so an inspiration. I think I am going to take notes on some of his products and maybe introduce them to hubs. ❤️
💙 How do you feel about the ponds cold cream makeup remover for dry skin for removing makeup ?
they just posted bobby berk's and you should definitely do that one too! so funny
Please react to Kourtney Kardashian.
Lol I'm usually acne treatment after moisturizer because I have so many spots I couldn't be THAT mindful 😂love your videos Susan!
I love Susan’s videos, I am learning so much about skincare. I can’t do melatonin, it has the complete opposite effect and makes me restless.
Do Niki demar! Loveee this series so much! Always feel like I learn a ton ❤
Mark D-R, DMD the only thing that ever helped me with my acne was benzoyl peroxide 🤷🏼♀️
And tea tree oil can also be irritating on the skin and cause dryness, redness and itchiness
If your dermatologist recommends you use benzoylperoxide, listen to them, not some youtube comment.
Tea tree oil makes my skin red and dry too but only on high concentrations (
Couldn’t wait to get a Clarisonic brush back in the day. Hated it.
Thanks again for all the useful information I have sensitive combination acne prone skin and I also have a lot of allergies and I've been looking into the Avene skincare brand. I've been binge watching your videos and you mentioned them thanks again.
CAN YOU PLEASE react to Jeffrey Star's skincare routine?
Does he has a skin care routine video?? I believe no recent skin care routine videos of his
His most recent skincare routine was 2yrs ago
“I see a little darkness, but don’t we all have a little darkness? Susan, your emo is showing.
I totally agree with you that a moisturiser can do just as good a job as eye creams. Ive bought many expensive eye creams in the past. I see no difference personally between carefully applying a face moisturiser to the eye area and eye creams in the past I have used. The area looks moisturised and dewy either way.
this was a great video. really informative and really impressed
I love your show, thanks for teaching us a lot of beauty secrets, hello from Costa Rica 😎
I love these videos. I learn so much. I’m feeling like an expert each time. 😊
I don't know if Aldi's Lacura range of skincare is available in the US, but I'd love to see you review them. They have some interesting toners.
Oh no HAHAHA I can't wait I'm still at work. I've watch antoni's skin care before all I can say is calm down Susan!!! 😂😂😂
lol she went pretty easy on him tbh
Loveeee Antoni ❤️ and I’m putting my eye cream AND my moisturizer on my eyelids and I don’t want to stop 😂 (I have sunken undereyes, so I don’t get puffy)
I have really sensitive dry skin so I put some of my acne stuff on after a light moisturizer because it protects my skin and helps prevent my skin from drying out or getting really irritated from the acne products
Also, I don’t worry about wasting product on my hands because I want my hands to be protected from aging and the sun too!
He’s FANCY !😃
Love your reaction videos! Keep em coming.
I can't stop watching these type of videos from u 😊
✨✨✨ REACT to Jenn Im's skincare routine next!!!! Please and thanks 💓✨✨✨
Can you do zuzka light's skin care routine?
You should do a review on Ethique Worlds skincare and shampoo bars! Interested to see if their products are beneficial for skin and hair, love your videos! ❤️😁
