I've noticed a lot of foods don't taste right anymore. I stopped buying Pop Tarts for my kids because I tasted one and it tasted like it has aspartame in it. Then the Pepperidge Farm cookies all taste like nothing now. There's been a lot of stuff I just don't buy anymore because it doesn't taste right.

Dollar Tree has ginger snaps that taste like the old fashioned ones. But you're right about things not tasting like they use to. Chicken Noodle Soup, Kraft Mac & Cheese and even the bread doesn't taste right. I have to toast it. But found that the 'bakery' bread is a bit better.

The foil pans are very flimsy, I do use them, but when I do I put a cookie sheet underneath.
I also use aluminum foil inside because they have a taste that leaches into the food.

The dollar tree aluminum pans would probably be fine as long as you put the pan on a baking sheet and used THAT to pick up the pan instead. I wouldn't trust the pan to be strong enough on it's own.
Also, I don't know if this is true for ALL generic foil, but the ONE time I tried it I found out it was garbage! It was SO thin it was useless. This is one of those items where it's worth paying more for Reynolds foil. And Reynolds goes on sale too, so you can wait until then to stock up on it.

Regarding the smaller sizes of sauces etc. A person living alone may do better with the smaller packages. Once an item is opened then the clock starts ticking for using it up. I can't finish most large containers before they go bad. I do have a freezer but am trying not to load it up to prevent losing my frozen food if the power goes out longer than 3 days. I make them ahead and can fit six in my oven while the Turkey is resting and I finish the gravy. I double them up so they are sturdier and the bottom one stays clean. Most times I reuse them wash in dishwasher they discolor but they are fine or they are great for packing up food to go for my adult children. Where I am located that is happening at certain DT's. They do not get enough traffic to purge it by sales alone. Than when it gets close to expiring they rather trash it then sell it at a big discount. It's tragic. Cause I know many families here that could use those items if discounted. Loss of jobs and unable to pay bills. Social Services won't approve them because right before they applied they had a last check from the business in which they worked. Than they are on unemployment, that is a total joke. Then they are told by Social Service to apply again in a few months. THESE PEOPLE HAVE SMALL CHILDREN! I do not meant to rant, just stating what I myself has seen, since others have not. It could just be the stores location. I am thankful that we are able to afford enough to get us by and have full bellies. Thank you for listening and I enjoy AWD, he is very informative. I am sure he has said it in other videos.

I remember the other day that you & Jessica like the brown sugar bbq sauce( I thought it was the honey at first ) . I was at the grocery store and there was only 2 varieties of the Kraft sauce. No brown sugar. Very limited selection. Good price on the spaghetti. I buy cheap foil pans at the Dollar Store aisle at Winn Dixie . My husband uses them for drip pans when he smokes meats . I buy the sturdy ones for Thanksgiving turkey. I don’t like the cheap ones for heavy poultry . The grocery stores have them on sale during the holidays. Though most of the time I use my own pans for cooking. But the foil pans sure come in handy when cooking lots of different items during the holidays. 🙂

The reason Polar coconut milk is less, is because it is diluted. If my memory is correct, it is around 60 calories per 1/3 cup, whereas the authentic coconut milk from Thailand will be at least 150 calories per 1/3 cup as Chaokoh. However, Mae Ploy is considered the best and if my memory is correct is has the highest amount of calories compared to Chaokoh.

I buy the half sheet size baking pans from Sam's. They are perfect for taking lasagna to family gatherings
If I am just cooking for me, the DT pans are just fine. I also use them when I share with my neigjnors.
I used to get a slightly larger size at Family Dollar for $1, but the last time I was in there, they had gone up to $2. So, DT it is!

Hi Danno, thank you for all your hard work and good information. Our Dollar Tree here in California is a lot different. The one thing I've had to pay close attention to is the expiration date on almost everything. They don't have paper plates or cups, only styrofoam. The cleaning products are smaller than ever.
Your Dollar Tree is so much better than ours here in California!
Let's talk potato chips-----a small bag of Ruffles is $6----
