SRB2 2023 OLDC R2 (Tails) | (14) ~ Doomship 2 & Metallic City

You know, I initially thought that Avalice's last entry being made in 2.0 was just for the lolz; but after having met Avalice for this OLDC, I'm afraid that's not the case. He seems to think 2.0 is the best thing since sliced bread. At least he didn't go full boomer and just made the level a giant crusher like the OG Doomship. I suppose using Egg Rock textures works in making it seem like a level that would be made in 2.2. An amature-ish level, but a level nonetheless. I also like the idea of Doomship being in space instead of in the sky. Kinda reminds me of Floating Fortress from Sonic Classic 2. Anyway, this level was originally meant to be a difficult level in which you'd get no rings and no checkpoints. Then after we complained about it enough, Avalice reluctantly added checkpoints and rings. Then once the OLDC released and more people complained about it, Avalice added even more rings - this time being so that it wouldn't distain people's enjoyment for the OLDC (that part, I do commend him for). And you'll definitely need those rings since a lot of badniks are clumped up and may blindsight you. They're the old variants as well, meaning that their behaviors are different. Facestabbers only take one hit, but instantly charge at you, Robo-Hoods shoot straight at you instead of at an arch, Crawla Commanders are still little shits, etc. You'll definitely need those checkpoints as well since a there's a lot of tricks and traps. One of which is an airlock that gives you a split second to react to it, and a fan you have to walk under so that you don't get blown into a laser gate. Before, this level was also a chore to get through, but with the nerfs, it's kinda just meh.
Metallic City on the other hand, is a level that... exists. It could've been an interesting concept, but the level's over in a minute and there's not much to see since you're in a hallway for most of it.
