Emulation pretty much. PPSSPP for the PSP MH games (Freedom Unite, P3rd), PSCX2 for the PS2 games (which I think are like MH1 (lmao) and Dos (bruh). Dolphin Emulator for MH Tri on Wii, Cemu for MH3U on Wii U. Finally, Citra for the 3DS games, (3U, 4U, Generations/XX). And I think that's pretty much it? Note that Tri on Wii has private multiplayer servers, same for Freedom Unite and I think MH1/MH2 too somehow, not sure. There's probably more stuff I failed to mention.

Monster Hunter Rise is literally that. The clothing, presentation of monsters etc are inspired by Japanese culture
