Been playing 20+ years and was (and still am) incredibly humbled when I started to learn flatpicking around 8 months or so ago thanks to a sick obsession with Billy Strings. That fella is an alien, and what he does with a guitar is other worldly!

I’ll be going to my 7th Billy show next week, and I listen to every show on Nugs…. Might be a bit of an obsession, but his music has done more for my own musicianship than anything else to date. I finally figured out how to sing and play thanks to “My Alice” 😂

Bluegrass is definitely one of the purest guitar-centric genres out there. Just sheer guitar talent and playing at the forefront! Amazing collaboration here!

And now The Mountain Grass Unit, which can we pause and just marvel at that cool name? MGU! Great kids and they sound, well, perfect! And impressive that they've honing their skills and knowledge at Berkeley. 👏🏾

Flat-picking isn’t for the faint at heart… it’s f’n hard done right. The only consultation is that a large percentage of the Blue Grass genre and it’s likes are in what we call “the peoples key”… G major.✌️
