My current healthcare provider was simply unable to do this type of thorough instructions for my new Paradise 50, but fortunately my last set was Resounds and I was pretty comfortable with the Smart 3 D app, so that helped me initially. I just transitioned to a new pair of Phonak aids ... that dropped the need for the iCom and offers this app control. I have a question ... Once I choose, for example, the "restaurant" setting, this seems to remain only if I keep the app open and active. If I am in the "restaurant" setting and then care to get the news off the smartphone by selecting another app for the news, then the selection goes back to the default. This makes reading the news in a restaurant complicated/not as easy as when I had the iCom. Am I not doing something to keep the setting active while going to another app?

I have the new version and I found a way to keep that "place" setting on...u have to go to ur "place" setting and then on ur cell phone screen without leave the app, click off on the bluetooth symbol and u'll have ur "place" setting work on as long as u want, but...u wont have ur bluetooth experience, if u receive a call...u'll have to answer it on ur phone...u r not gonna be able to answer on ur app. I hope u have had a great answer.
@@Kidnapper79 I ended up switching out Phonak models. I had the rechargeable devices and found them to be problematic, especially when traveling. I went back to battery operated devices... and there are anomalies that are different between the device models which I am still learning to "manage." For example, if I switch to a "custom" program I have for when I am on a bicycle, the aids are no longer recognized as a link BT connection on my computer (this happens when I forget I am still in the "custom" mode and sitting at my computer. So, some of it is leaning what the capabilities/limitations/workflow issues are. Phonak really needs a RUclips channel where users can post their experiences, inquiries and product reviews.
The MyPhonak preset programs (Restaurant , music, tv). have disappeared from the App. 1. How can I add the Presets back to the MyPhonak App? 2. Can use the Presets from the App without the last preset used becoming a program ON MY HEARING AIDS? ( I don’t want to have a beep for an extra program on my hearing aids.)
Can I still use the volume on my hearing aids or do I have to go into the app. to alter them. I have the Paradise 90 and can I still use the tap control to answer or reject calls.
I agree with Ed Ruttledge: Your own settings like your Tim Hortons will ONLY work as long as you have the app open to Tim Horton's. The instant you leave Tim Hortons or exit the app to do "anything else" you lose your Tim Horton's setting. Maybe you are in Tim Horton's setting and want to show someone a picture on your phone. You lose Tim Hortons setting to show the picture and have to go back in and set Tim Hortons setting back up which is a hassle. I am guessing that is just the way you all have it set up which is NOT a good idea. It should be the customer who decides when to change his/her setting, not you. Please fix that in the app if possible. Thank you. Love the hearing aids big time.

I just downloaded the app9/14/22 it opens to create account or login either way privacy statement next then hit the proceed button nothing happens can't access the app
I just paired my bluetooth aids to my laptop, but when I tried to get the audio from the laptop to my aids, it did not work. I did a lot of research and so far everything I saw said that you need a tv connect device to be able to stream audio from your computer to your aids. So now I need to spend more money for a tv connector.

Can phonak paradise charger be 24. 7 plugged to power. Or should I disconnect it every day once hearing aids are charged? Thanks
My audiologist said it was OK to leave it plugged in. I'd like to know if anyone was told differently.

App can mute the outside world. Too bad it can't mute the sound from the TV Connector.
