what a delightful way to spend a "knitting-hour" during a storm-swept night in the hills . Many thanks. So enjoy your reading . ... and the tale! many thanks!
The Empire Builder killing most ferocious animals wirh his pocket knife and the lovely lady with her eyes partly like twin stars and partly like snails! PGW, the last word in humor with amazing mastery over language. Brilliant narration as ever. Thank you
Please, please, please tell us you will eventually post all the Meet Mr. Mulliner stories ! I would never have ventured outside the Bertie/Jeeves universe had I not stumbled upon this treasure last night after work… I haven’t laughed so hard in years with one story ! Just fabulous rendering… thank you 🙏
The scene at the bar was described so vividly. One can readily picture the setting. I laughed uncontrollably at the part a mere "Thanks" sets off William. Humorous to the core.. And delightful narration too
As both a native-born San Franciscan and a raving Wodehouse fanatic, you can probably imagine how delighted I am to hear this story. I am, in fact, tickled pink! I would say “Thanks”, but it might be taken as a grave insult 😂
Hey SF, Cali! It's Chicago! Yeh Nicky is da bomb! His accents are on the nose. Chicago has the same stormy rain snow buried city, a bleak gloomy chi night, 2 days before Christmas and not a flake ta be seen. 😮. I am crocheting, drinking ice tea/ diet Pepsi mix, vaping juul traditional, and listening to my ten yr old lady cat softly snore. Pleasant. We in USA, no matter where, are the most blessed, lucky, richest (even those on subsidy) in the world. 🌎 Nicky is the icing on the cake. 🍰m. Illinois
Delightful! Holidays greetings from “hands across the sea”: And can you believe, we had an earthquake here in the OC yesterday! All is right as rain thanks to YOU Lord “M” :). Sending season cheer to you and yours! Ho Ho Ho julie
I’m so glad I saved this little treat bc I really needed a mood lifter & you & PGW supplied a perfect remedy! You once again, have delighted, entertained and impressed me. I must say your American accents were impeccable. That is very hard to find and you nailed it! As expected PGW delivered fun & some much needed laughs! 😄 Some people really should not drink! 😅 Thank you so much, Nick! I hope you & your family are all faring well, staying safe & healthy. Wishing you blessings & sending love, your sister in Christ.✝️🙏🏼👏👍🏼 dk how you find the time, but we’re ready for more. Hoping not so long in between. 😊🕊️🙏🏼✝️💙
Mr. Martin, "Buy me a Coffee" no longer supports PayPal =\, I discovered. Do you have a PayPal acct by chance that you're listeners can use to show their appreciation?
There's something fishy about the suspension bridge in the illustration. As the road passes away beyond the middle tower it joins the land on top of a cliff, yet the two cables (between middle and farthest towers) are at their lowest point here, exactly where suspension is not needed. The road doesn't even pass through the farthest tower at all because it's on the other side of the water at that point. Also, the cables on the nearest tower do not dip midway between this first tower and the second; they go to the road in a place that makes no sense. Most egregious, however, is the fact that the middle tower is not supported by cables between itself and the nearest tower, meaning that if it were actually supporting something (it's not) it would collapse away from us, as it's not supported...Only AI could have produced such terrible engineering. Good story though ---
This is a fantastic performance. I was particularly impressed with your portrayal of the male characters' voices. However, for the female character's voice, having a female collaborator might have been more fitting.
Thank you for all your supportive comments here and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2024. See you again soon!
"... climbing into the bed as it came 'round for the second time" Such brilliant writing.

Narrator overacts like mad.
