ThisMikePlaysGames That's 100% true. It's my 2nd favorite game library EVER; next to the PS1. SOOOO many great games, it really comes down to preference.
i remember having the n64 when i was little, (which i loved) but i would catch glimpses of my older brothers playing gamecube at my cousins house and would want to play mario double dash and melee so much. and after over ten years i finally can,
+Keith Elliott that doesn't make sense though I mean I bet TTYD would get higher on the list...but because they had out super Mario sunshine on the list which was higher on the list they would have to take out any other Mario games that would get higher on the list??? Which doesn't make sense to me lol

ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE GAME FOR GAMECUBE HAS TO BE.... Kirby Air Ride, it might not have had the best mechanics but the endless hours I played it with my best friends growing up were some of my best memories as a child
My list (if we are ignoring the one per franchise rule) 10: Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness 9:Mario Kart Double dash 8:SSB melee 7:LOZ WW 6: Luigi's Mansion 5: LOZ TP 4: Super Mario Sunshine 3:Metroid Prime 2: Starfox Adventures 1: Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
Starfox Adventures? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... *breathes in* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO FUCKING WAY
It's honestly hard for me to choose between Pikmin 1 and 2. Pikmin 1 had the amazing mechanic of the 30 day timer, which made it a real challenge and a stressful (but fulfilling) experience to defeat. Without that sense of urgency in Pikmin 2, it felt like a different game. But Pikmin 2 has many great improvements and more interesting dungeons. Both were great.
Did you forget n64.Actually all Nintendo consoles are good enjoy all like a real gamer why to argue which one is best.Play and enjoy.Be gamers don't be politians.
thats wrong, the best Nintendo console is and always will be SNES you have no idea how advanced and good was back then, Nintendo dominated the market it had the best characters and games, most of the 3D games from other "modern" consoles were horrendous. Gamecube has some masterpieces like Zelda and metroid but thats it Xbox and PlayStation 2 were riding high and they are still there.
Nice man, I'll look at it. as we speak I'm downloading multiple games for the dolphin emulator. I highly recommend, its so easy. So far I have Pikmin 2, Animal Crossing, Chibi Robo, Harvest moon magical melody, Barnyard, Smugglers run warzones. Any more ideas?
Bot_Chuck I also use dolphin and I have to recommend Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life. I have loved that game since I was a little kid but I still play it, and I don't even like any of the other harvest moon games.
Austin Jasay the third one had a fine story, and the sidescrolling is fine, but it completely got rid of the battle system so it just ruind that kind of game series' legacy
Emishimaru - Sama what about Super Smash bros for Wii U, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario maker, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3d World, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, and Wind Waker HD?
(Wind Waker Is originally from Game Cube. Even If It´s a remake with better features, It doesn´t count) Just tried to mention those out of Nintendo´s league. You know some people just don't want to know about Nintendo games for look like "for kids ¬_¬"... [Not that I mean you or him]
Even though I play Melee most and it's my favorite game of all time... I do have to agree. Prime as number 1 spot is perfect. The game was innovative, compelling, and always kept you on your feet. I cannot tell you how terrifying the Omega Pirate was when I was 7 years old. I loved both Prime 1 and Prime 2. I wasn't a big fan of Prime 3 though.
Tio Juan Jesus Martinez sorry for being a lil dramatic, but the guy is entitled to an opinion. Eh, not everyone will think the same, though. TTYD was a great game, but maybe the dude hasn't played it?
My top 5: 1) Paper Mario: TTYD (I don't know what these people were thinking not putting this on) 2) Super Smash Bros Melee 3) Super Mario Sunshine 4) Zelda: The Wind Waker 5) Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Honorable Mentions: Metroid Prime, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Luigi's Mansion, Resident Evil 4, Pikmin 2, DK Jungle Beat
My list would be something like : 10.Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 9.Soul Calibur 2 8.Starfox Adventures 7.Mario Kart Double Dash 6.Luigi's Mansion 5.Sonic Adventure 2 Battle 4.Mario Sunshine 3.TloZ The Wind Waker 2.Metroid Prime 1&2 1.and obviously , if it didn't appear on the list already - you know it's at the top spot - SSMB Melee
Dreamcast Guy492 or actually, the dreamcast original was "Sonic Adventure 2" , the "Battle" part was added for the GameCube version, so I guess what I listed actually was a GC game :)
Reading these comments made me realize how many people haven't played Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I only saw 1 person mention it. It's an amazing game, but I suppose not too many people have played it, and even less own it.
Jacob, the Creator Nope, I did too, the only problem I had was with the test of fear, I could never beat it. The Dino language was fun to listen to, though Tricky annoyed me at times. I'm a big fan of the Starfox series, having beaten the original 64 version a time or two. My fav has to be Assault, with Adventures a close second.
Melee is amazing and deserves to be the console's best seller, but Prime is the Ocarina of Time of the Gamecube. It's a masterpiece even with it's flaws. It was rated almost a perfect 10 by IGN at release, then they upheld that score with the Trilogy release, and recently they reevaluated it's score (as they sometimes do with their highest scoring games) and they again upheld it's almost perfect score. It's a masterclass in atmosphere, immersion, tension, ambience, and music scoring. Melee is amazing and deserves all the accolades, but just as Mario 64 is heralded as one of the greatest games but still plays second fiddle to Ocarina of Time, so does Melee fall just slightly short of Prime's place as the best game of the console and one of the best games of all time. To this day it still doesn't play like any other first person shooter or adventure game, holding that special niche that inspired games like Castlevania and later games like Dark Souls. Melee is great for helping to make the legacy of Smash Bros. but Prime not only lived up to Super Metroid's legacy, but revived it, stole it's crown, and held it's place as the shining jewel of Metroid's legacy ever since. If you need any proof, look up everyone's reactions to the news of Metroid Prime 4's coming release. Grown men cried at the news that a fourth game was in the works and that makes Prime a special, one of a kind, legendary game. Rant over, I'm off to play Prime... AGAIN.
The Gamecube was surprisingly stacked with great games. I remember buying one when they dropped the price to $99 and being blown away by games like Wind Waker,Metroid,RE4 and Double Dash.
Metroid Prime is my #1 as well. It's one of my favorite games of all time. But I will say Resident Evil 4 comes really close as it's my 2nd favorite GameCube game. But both MP & RE4 are still awesome.
10) Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 9) F Zero GX 8) Pikmin 2 7) Super Mario Sunshine 6) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem 5) Animal Crossing 4) Super Smash Bros Melee 3) Legend of Zelda : Windwaker 2)Resident Evil 4 Honorable Mentions: Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Super Mario Strikers, Viewtiful Joe, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart Double Dash 1) Metroid Prime Great list Watchmojo
dude that's how I lost my GameCube, cousin and I made a bet playing need for speed we gave each other 2 weeks to prepare a care and race I wanted something from him forgot what buy must be big since I put my gamecube on the line. anyway I lost and missed out on several of these games
#1 and #2 are very similar in how they relate to their franchises. They both took their respective series in bold new directions and did so with legendary success. P.S. Paper Mario: TTYD should've at least been in the honorable mentions.
Really Watchmojo are crazy Luigi's Mansion and Mario kart double dash should have been on this list not notable mentions and Paper Mario should definitely be on this list. Really Watchmojo
I think Watchmojo must hate Mario games. Sunshine at 7th. Mario strikers, Luigi's mansion and Double dash notable mentions. No mention of paper Mario thousand year door, Mario party games, Mario power tennis.
Soul Calibur 2? Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door? Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders? Twilight Princess? ...Holy crap, you people were drunk the day you uploaded this.
Well you, sir, just suck. I don't like the Pokémon handheld games, but those two released for the GameCube were fantastic. And the atmosphere in Colosseum is just awesome. As for multiplayer, I didn't even know Colosseum had that.
Double Dash IS double kick-ass, but.... And I have to agree about Paper Mario 2, agree with you and the rest. But, like @Austin Jasay said, there's such a high number that to include them all you need more than a top Ten.
Agreed i think it was x - play that did a special on it along time ago the gamecube was able to take the most abuse in every category they tested and still work ps2 and xbox tied i believe because they changed 2nd and 3rd places in a few catagories
Call me crazy, but I prefer the graphics and aesthetics of the N64. For me they have a unique magic. I'm glad to see that opting for cartridges for the N64, due to its limitations, gave us that unique graphic section. Seeing on Gamecube what could have been with discs, I prefer the low poly graphics with low resolution anti-aliased textures. They are the graphics of my childhood and have a unique charm and style within their limitations!
My top ten gamecube games: 10. Luigis Mansion, 9.Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess, 8. MarioKart Double Dash, 7. Metal gear solid: the twin snakes, 6.Starfox assault, 5. Sonic adventure 2, 4. Star wars rouge squadron 2, 3. Super Mario Sunshine, 2.Metroid Prime, 1. Super smash bros melee.
I absolutely agree with your list... Metroid Prime was f'n AWESOME! It's in my TOP 5 games of all time. And here ARE my top 5 games of all time... Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Metroid Prime, Sonic the Hedgehog, [Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World (tie)]
My top five GameCube games 5. Teenage mutant ninja turtles 4. Soul Calibur 2 3. Super smash bros melee 2. Eternal Darkness 1. Resident evil 4 These are my top five GameCube games my opinion
My Top 10: 10-Starfox Assault, 9- Luigi's Mansion, 8- MarioKart Double Dash, 7- Pokemon Colosseum, 6- Resident Evil 4, 5- Kirby Air Ride, 4- Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, 3- Super Smash Bros. Melee, 2- Super Mario Sunshine, 3- Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Shame on this list for not mentioning Paper Mario.
I love dungeons in Zelda games and exploring, and Wind Waker had so few dungeons and the exploration was a chore - swimming to the islands and feeding the fish to get a mark on your map..
PhantomArtist I personally don't see a point in having HD on a Top 10 video. Sure it would look nice but you're not looking at footage long enough to really get much out of it. Just my opinion of course =]
10.) Luigis Mansion 9.) Mario Kart:Double Dash 8.) 007: Nightfall 7.) Super Mario Strikers 6.) The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker 5.) Super Mario Sunshine 4.) Super Smash bros: Melee 3.) Metroid Prime 2.) Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes 1.) The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Isn't it strange?
The GameCube wasn't as successful as PS2 or Xbox.
Yet it's more fondly remembered by it's fans.
GC was better than the xbox
Rol4425 As much as I hate to say it.
I did prefer the original Xbox to GameCube.
Only reason was because it had the best (and still some of the best) local multiplayer games.
GameCube was no slouch though.
Come to think of it, I liked all the consoles back then. There was loads of great stuff on all of them.
I can barely find anything I like on most formats now. Wii U surprisingly has the most for me.
Local multiplayer was Gamecube first, then Xbox.
+stufaman and was better
Rol4425 Not for me it wasn't.
Although all three was really good for local multiplayer.
My only grumble with PS2 was you had to mess about with those horrible multi-tap things.
Xbox and Gamecube, you just plugged in the pads and off you go.
no Paper Mario Thousand Year Door? not even as an Honorable mention? SERIOUSLY!?!?!?
Pierce Nichols Yep, insane.
Yeah wtf watch mojo that game was my childhood >:(
They said one per franchise and they had Sunshine in there...
Gregiferous If we are going by that ideology, why is Super Mario Strikers, Mario Kart Double Dash!! and Luigi's Mansion in the honorable mentions? Paper Mario is a franchise on its own.
Pierce Nichols WatchMojo is so disrespectful sometimes its unbelievable
The Gamecube really does have an amazing collection of games
not
indeed , actually this list keep very short, there still various games that are really good
Jimmie Johnson 48 Champion Every one pf those games are amazing. I beat resident evil 4 the other day for like the tenth time haha
@@edunoeduno4980 it has luigi's mansion and I say it's good
Does no one remember desertstorm?
'Eternal Darkness' wasn't the first M-rated Nintendo game.
'Conker's bad fur day' was;)
PS Both great games;)
Nintendo didn't publish Conker though. Rare and THQ did
@@DanTheMan33088 And he'd still be wrong. Perfect Dark came out a year before Conker.
@@the757general2 Rare actually self-published Perfect Dark
Conker shocked the hell out of me thats when I 1st learned what M for mature was, grand parents thought it was kids game, best christmas gift ever
Hey you forgot mad world on wii
I honestly think Double Dash was my favorite for the system
I liked super smash bros.
didn't expect you here lol
One of the best MK's to this day! I'd put it in the top 3 with Wii & 8. It doesn't have the trick system, but I love the speed and crazy special items you can hurl at your opponents! :D
Thousand Year Door was a damn good game as well, but let's be honest, there's so many outstanding GameCube games, it's hard to make a list of just 10
ThisMikePlaysGames That's 100% true. It's my 2nd favorite game library EVER; next to the PS1. SOOOO many great games, it really comes down to preference.
Yeah they need to redo this list.
ThisMikePlaysGames True, but I feel other games should've made room for Thousand Year Door, not the other way around.
I agree completely
Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door? Man that was a game!
the final boss cut scene wen everyone is sending u wishes has given me chills every time i get there
Luis Aponte agreed
i remember having the n64 when i was little, (which i loved) but i would catch glimpses of my older brothers playing gamecube at my cousins house and would want to play mario double dash and melee so much. and after over ten years i finally can,
Where's Paper Mario: Thousand Year Old Door!??
Also, how was Luigis Mansion just a honorable mention? I still replay that game to this day, lol..
only one per franchise, they said, so they went with super mario sunshine
Keith Elliott the community for that game is extremely divided. You either loved it or it was meh. I was on the side of meh.
+Keith Elliott that doesn't make sense though I mean I bet TTYD would get higher on the list...but because they had out super Mario sunshine on the list which was higher on the list they would have to take out any other Mario games that would get higher on the list??? Which doesn't make sense to me lol
I'm beginning to think WatchMojo are the IGN of this channel, which is definitely a bad thing.
wtf its "Paper Mario: *The* Thousand Year Door" Notice how i added the and removed old the title is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Metroid deserved first. Nintendo doesn't give that franchise enough love.
+HouseofChains81 I think it's because Nintendo doesn't know what to do with it.

Wrong WatchMojo.com. The first M-Rated game published by Nintendo was Conker's Bad Fur Day, not Eternal Darkness.
Dominik Sobolewski that was part Nintendo, but mostly Rare
some giant weird nerd right, Eternal Darkness is just Nintendo.
What about Perfect Dark???
Gustavo Villegas that too is mostly rare.
Lol that game tho scard many kids I'm pretty sure
How the fuck is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door not even an honorable mention? That was one of my favorite games on the GameCube.
One per franchise. They chose Super Mario Sunshine in the Mario franchise. Those two titles were among the best from Mario GameCube releases though.
Ikr?
Ikr It's one most favorite game
ForeverHers | MCSG and More! hehe shut up there were 4-5 games in honorable mentions so yah
Fqrt | MCSG and More! But those dickwads decided it was a good idea to put 5 fucking Mario games on the n64 list. WTF!
God, what the hell is up with all this Metroid hate? I'm a Zelda fan first and foremost, but here it honestly deserved that spot.
amen brother i dont get it either. immature ass wipes is all they are
They've never played it, that's why. Just look at the sales

FishTitan PS2?
Because it old af
(But they should at least make it virtual console on the switch)
Rokatsu if you like GameCube you can play it in 4K in the dolphin emulator for pc
Eternal Darkness is still one of my favorite GameCube games. So many memories of playing this during the Summer of 2002 getting all the endings.
Wait! There were multiple endings??? Ok, I’m going up to the attic and finding my copy! Finally a reason to play through it again!
Same.
Few games piqued my imagination and expanded my overall purview as Eternal Darkness had.
What a bloody great game!
Does no one else think Thousand Year Door should have been at least an honorable mention?
It's my favorite game of all time.
It should be number 1 one of the best mario games ever

I totally agree!!!! I can not believe it didn't even make the list! It's such a good game, geezus watchmojo sort your shit out.
***** Actually it did get mentioned.
But still, Watchmojo is a joke. Eternal Darkness at 6?
metroid prime was definitely the best game for GameCube.
righteousrat yup my favorite game of all time
Mine too.
righteousrat mine was smash melee
No, that game is nowhere near Melee
Nah, Smash Melee is. Melee is the soul reason why people even have a Gamecube. It was the reason why the Gamecube controller was being re-released over and over for newer smash games.
I think the Gamecube was vastly under-appreciated, along with the Dreamcast.
Eternal Darkness made the list! Nice! Also, I think RE4 and Metroid Prime are pretty interchangeable at #1 and #2. Both are arguably the best in their own series, and were reasons to even own a GC.
Totally agree. I personally prefer re4
There is absolutely no legitimate reason why Double Dash didn't make the Top Ten.
Ethan, sorry you were incapable of operating a Gamecube controller.
They just take some getting used to. You learn to gingerly tilt the analog sticks to take curves.
+Ethan Jones by your logic MarioKart 64 would suck as well cause of the other extreme, cause i had to use "stiff as hell" analogues...
+Mark McDaniel I fking loved Double Dash. I enjoyed it far more than 64, Wii and 8... But maybe that's because it was when I was a teenager and had just started smoking pot lol.
+Ethan Jones The controls of Super circuit were worst, in my opinion.
Mario kart double is an honorable mention? And where's Sonic 2 battle??
lol, sonic
Sonic Battle Adventure 2
I agree thou.
It was on the dreamcast and is a port to the GameCube console
You're both wrong, It's Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Now get out
I actually didn't know that, I have the game for the gamecube.
Super Mario Sunshine... you just gotta love that music :D
Nostalgia bomb. My first ever video game. Loved the music. Nearly cried when I heard it again. Legit.
That boss theme made me feel so hyped for some reason, I suck at the game but I great at the bosses and I love the music.
Definitely agree with Metroid Prime's first place ranking.
wind waker was my childhood man, i've beaten it 6 times. I need a life
you already have many, as link, and any other characters you play. ;)
Wow dude I've beaten it only 4 times how do you do that. such a great
+BurstTheKid i relate to this
+BurstTheKid don't worry m8 I've beaten it 2 times already since I've gotten it on the Wii U .....god knows how many times I beat it on the GC
+BurstTheKid I played it until the game had me scour the ocean for the remaining reinforce bit then I quickly got bored.
No Thousand-Year Door? not even as an honorable mention?? dang harsh
not that the rest of these games aren't fantastic of course but TTYD is one of my favorite games of all time
they did mention only one game per franchise, but agree with not even an honorable mention...
Well there's to many fantastic games on the system
Yeah. I was thinking TTYD would be on the list. That game is better than Sunshine or other Mario games on the system. Not that the other Mario games are bad, but TTYD is just the best Mario game on the GameCube in many ways.
Melee absolutely should be number 1 on the list. No excuses.
Yes
+Jarek The Gaming Dragon Melee is alright but honestly it gets so dreadfully boring after several hundreds of hours; but i could play Yu-Gi-Oh! Falsebound Kingdom all day every day.

Shaun Huerta Omg yes. One of my favorite games, to this day.
ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE GAME FOR GAMECUBE HAS TO BE.... Kirby Air Ride, it might not have had the best mechanics but the endless hours I played it with my best friends growing up were some of my best memories as a child
I legitimately cried when I broke my Kirby Air Ride disc while taking it out of my Gamecube. That was my livelihood.
My list (if we are ignoring the one per franchise rule)
10: Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
9:Mario Kart Double dash

6: Luigi's Mansion
5: LOZ TP

Starfox Adventures? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... *breathes in* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO FUCKING WAY
In my opinion, the only disappointement in this game is not having to fight that lizard at the end of the game. Still it was an amazing game.
What a shit list
@@mariochavez9963 It's his opinion, you have your own and it just so happens to not match up with his.

Gamecube = Best Nintendo Console EVER
Nop, Wii is.
Did you forget n64.Actually all Nintendo consoles are good enjoy all like a real gamer why to argue which one is best.Play and enjoy.Be gamers don't be politians.
SNES would still have to take the cake there. Then yeah, maybe Gamecube or NES.
Virtual Boy is obviously Number 1
thats wrong, the best Nintendo console is and always will be SNES you have no idea how advanced and good was back then, Nintendo dominated the market it had the best characters and games, most of the 3D games from other "modern" consoles were horrendous. Gamecube has some masterpieces like Zelda and metroid but thats it Xbox and PlayStation 2 were riding high and they are still there.
Seeing the dates of these games makes me feel old

I know what you mean. I was about six months old when Super Mario Sunshine first came out. You're certainly not alone.

Nobody is talking about custom robo but i think that it was a great game
Are you talking about chibi robo?
Bot_Chuck no its called custom robo
Nice man, I'll look at it. as we speak I'm downloading multiple games for the dolphin emulator. I highly recommend, its so easy. So far I have Pikmin 2, Animal Crossing, Chibi Robo, Harvest moon magical melody, Barnyard, Smugglers run warzones. Any more ideas?
Bot_Chuck I also use dolphin and I have to recommend Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life. I have loved that game since I was a little kid but I still play it, and I don't even like any of the other harvest moon games.
Hayden C I played that game so much years ago! I was planning on getting it later but I'm gonna do it now lol
Playing those games felt so good playing as a kid on those old TVs. like thinking about it is so orgasmic. lol an I right???
yesss. I just found my gamecube and ordered Zelda windwaker and RE4 lol
Omfg I was just playing the ds wind waker

A MARIO SOCCER GAME MADE THIS, BUT PAPER MARIO: TTYD WASNT?
EXACTLY!!! I MEAN WHAT? RESIDENT EVIL 4? GO BACK TO YOUR PS2 MAN!
Austin I agree, But TTYD was revolutionary for RPGs and Mario Soccer was just soccer with Mario characters
TTYD is the best game of any I've played in my opinion, and they totally ruined the series with the latest one.
Austin Jasay the third one had a fine story, and the sidescrolling is fine, but
it completely got rid of the battle system so it just ruind that kind of game series' legacy
Killer 7 was missed
Need for speed most wanted was definitely my favorite GameCube game

It’s not really a GameCube game. It was a game that was released on GameCube.
I thought gamecube was a great console, the last real good console Nintendo made.
You´re not the only one.
Cmon, the Wii and Wii U are great! Don't be clouded with nostalgia.
Not exactly right, but It has Its games: Splatoon, Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101, and many others.
Emishimaru - Sama what about Super Smash bros for Wii U, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario maker, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3d World, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, and Wind Waker HD?
(Wind Waker Is originally from Game Cube. Even If It´s a remake with better features, It doesn´t count)
Just tried to mention those out of Nintendo´s league. You know some people just don't want to know about Nintendo games for look like "for kids ¬_¬"... [Not that I mean you or him]
Prime as #1? The list is perfect
Prime was my absolute favorite on the system. I used to play it constantly.
Where the hell is Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door?! Not even an honorable mention???
i agree with you Paper Mario TTYD should have been in this video.
***** yeah man a must buy game.
Tio Juan Jesus Martinez
Opinions. ._. he may not like it as much as all of you do. Sheesh
***** all right.
Tio Juan Jesus Martinez
sorry for being a lil dramatic, but the guy is entitled to an opinion. Eh, not everyone will think the same, though. TTYD was a great game, but maybe the dude hasn't played it?
Sooooo many good games on the gamecube! Still hands down my favourite system
My top 5:
1) Paper Mario: TTYD (I don't know what these people were thinking not putting this on)
2) Super Smash Bros Melee
3) Super Mario Sunshine
4) Zelda: The Wind Waker
5) Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Honorable Mentions: Metroid Prime, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Luigi's Mansion, Resident Evil 4, Pikmin 2, DK Jungle Beat
My Top 5 would look almost the exact same...
Paper Mario 2 was my childhood incredible game
I cannot endorse no Twilight Princess there. It represents GC's peek and epic farewell.
That game almost bored me to death. It was so tedious. Not to mention the horrible graphics compared to games like Metroid Prime and Melee.
was better on the wii
Twilight Princess is a masterpiece
WW is was more tedious and boring than twilight princess
Sully5246 if your calling wind waker tedious you’ve obviously never played it
My list would be something like :
10.Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2
9.Soul Calibur 2
8.Starfox Adventures
7.Mario Kart Double Dash
6.Luigi's Mansion
5.Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
4.Mario Sunshine
3.TloZ The Wind Waker
2.Metroid Prime 1&2
1.and obviously , if it didn't appear on the list already - you know it's at the top spot - SSMB Melee
+fishy peril Sonic adventure 2 battle didn't originally come out for the gamecube, Nice list tho :3
Dreamcast Guy492
yeah I know man , but still ^^
Dreamcast Guy492
or actually, the dreamcast original was "Sonic Adventure 2" , the "Battle" part was added for the GameCube version, so I guess what I listed actually was a GC game :)
maybe
***** Idd, Melee is the essence of Gamecube ! and about Sonic, idk, maybe they didn't include it cause it was a port of the Dreamcast game
My wish list to GameCube Mini:
-1080 Snowboarding
-Big Air Freestyle
-Chibi Robo!
-Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
-Geist
-Knockout Kings 2003
-Luigi's Mansion
-Mario Kart: Double Dash
-Metroid Prime
-Odama
-Pool Edge
-Rei Fighter Gekitsui Senki
-Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
-Super Mario Sunshine
-Tonka Rescue Patrol
-Tube Slider
-Ultimate Muscle Legends vs New Generation
-Mortal Kombat Deception
-Resident Evil 0
-Resident Evil Remake
Damn...childhood memories...I wanna pull out my Metroid Prime, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Sunshine, RE4, Smash bros, and Double dash now.
Reading these comments made me realize how many people haven't played Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I only saw 1 person mention it. It's an amazing game, but I suppose not too many people have played it, and even less own it.
it sells for like 150 dollars now so that's probably why
+Liam Carter I always thought the GBA Fire Emblem titles were WORLDS better.
+Liam Carter I got for Christmas one year, absolutely brilliant.
YO! I saw it back in the day, and thought it looked cool, I got it and OMG! Its so good!!!
I actually pre-ordered it, and then a hurricane came, destroyed the Gamestop, and damaged my house. So, I had to move and forfeit the game altogether
Am I the only one who enjoyed star fox adventures?
No, it's one of my favorite star fox games. People just hate it because there's hardly any ship gameplay
Jacob, the Creator Bio, Bio, Biiiiiio! (Thorntail Hollow music)
Chris Jackson stop before you give me a nostalgic heart attack.
NOBODY EVER BRINGS ME GIFTS ANYMORE (Forgot the name of that rock dude lol)
There's no doubt Metroid Prime is (by far) The best Gamecube Game.
its one of the best games ever made
Melee is amazing and deserves to be the console's best seller, but Prime is the Ocarina of Time of the Gamecube. AGAIN.
Where is Colosseum and XD? Two of the best Pokemon games ever!
+Noah Brown My cousin had them.
+Noah Brown Colosseum is a terrible game...I was a big fan of the pokemon franchise when i was young but this game was very bad.
The Gamecube was surprisingly stacked with great games. I remember buying one when they dropped the price to $99 and being blown away by games like Wind Waker,Metroid,RE4 and Double Dash.
metroid prime rules
kai brown nope
kai brown tons of ppl love Metroid prime it's a very good game
Metroid Prime is my #1 as well. It's one of my favorite games of all time. But I will say Resident Evil 4 comes really close as it's my 2nd favorite GameCube game. But both MP & RE4 are still awesome.
10) Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2
9) F Zero GX
8) Pikmin 2
7) Super Mario Sunshine
6) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
5) Animal Crossing
4) Super Smash Bros Melee
3) Legend of Zelda : Windwaker
2)Resident Evil 4
Honorable Mentions: Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Super Mario Strikers, Viewtiful Joe, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart Double Dash
1) Metroid Prime
Great list Watchmojo

I love that game on the N64,
I Know, I Have it on my GameCube!!!
langel013, you're thinking of stadium
Matt Hill No they mean colosseum, Stadium was on the N64 but Colosseum was on the gamecube
he wasn't talking to OP he was talking to langel
need for speed underground was a great game on the gamecube too
and RE4
dude that's how I lost my GameCube, cousin and I made a bet playing need for speed we gave each other 2 weeks to prepare a care and race I wanted something from him forgot what buy must be big since I put my gamecube on the line. anyway I lost and missed out on several of these games
+Fredy Mendez awee man thats messed up i think i still have mine just not the games anymore wow it must have been a serious bet
Yes and on ps2
#1 and #2 are very similar in how they relate to their franchises. They both took their respective series in bold new directions and did so with legendary success.
P.S. Paper Mario: TTYD should've at least been in the honorable mentions.
And ToS
I'm so happy that Metroid Prime was at #1. Its literally my favorite game of all time.
My childhood right here! So glad sunshine is on the list considering how underrated it is. :3
No mention of Paper Mario Thousand Year Door? Easily my number one GC game, one of the best RPGs ever.
Really Watchmojo are crazy Luigi's Mansion and Mario kart double dash should have been on this list not notable mentions and Paper Mario should definitely be on this list. Really Watchmojo
Who agrees
I agree
They specifically said they'll stick to 1 game per franchise.
+stan thebossman lol, nope
I think Watchmojo must hate Mario games. Sunshine at 7th. Mario strikers, Luigi's mansion and Double dash notable mentions. No mention of paper Mario thousand year door, Mario party games, Mario power tennis.
great list as usual, good channel
Lol I just bought a GameCube and I got super smash bros melee, super Mario sunshine, and paper Mario thousand year door
What other games should i get
I'll money match you in melee with my mario lets go bb

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door?
Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders?
Twilight Princess?
...Holy crap, you people were drunk the day you uploaded this.
One per franchise.
***** They were all better than the games on the countdown, except for maybe Twilight Princess.
True, true. And I liked the Wind Waker better.
*****(That's what Iiii saaaid :3)
Jason Weber I know. Just re-stating.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Underrated game, fantastic gameplay
And who could forget Pokémon: Colosseum
im not such a big fan of pokemon but to me pokemon colosseum was utter shit. It all went downhill after pokemon stadium 1 & 2, no more multiplayer...
Well you, sir, just suck. I don't like the Pokémon handheld games, but those two released for the GameCube were fantastic. And the atmosphere in Colosseum is just awesome. As for multiplayer, I didn't even know Colosseum had that.
then you suck bcus colosseum didn't even have multiplayer, dumbass.
Mario sunshine and Luigi’s mansion were my favourite. Definitely need to play them again
luigi's mansion 1 is now on 3DS
@@James-gj8rn Do you mean COMING to the 3ds
I nee an emulator.
The discs were scratch :(
Cursingbow you could find GameCube games on an emulator or you could get cheap GameCube games online
The Thousand Year Door is one of the most brilliant Nintendo games EVER and it's not even an honorable mention?
What's the name of the music you used for the Honorable Mentions?

Where is Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door?
And why is Double Dash only an honorable mention?
Double Dash IS double kick-ass, but....
And I have to agree about Paper Mario 2, agree with you and the rest. But, like @Austin Jasay said, there's such a high number that to include them all you need more than a top Ten.
I'm glad Mertiod Prime got top spot, usually these lists get a Mario or Zelda titles, and after awhile it gets to predictable.
Truly a better console than the PS2.
Agreed i think it was x - play that did a special on it along time ago the gamecube was able to take the most abuse in every category they tested and still work ps2 and xbox tied i believe because they changed 2nd and 3rd places in a few catagories
Yup I do agree dude im a ps2 owner but I agree with you Nintendo is King! Ohh and also better than the Sega Dreamcast or Segay dreamtrash
+Weegee#teamheitir It may not be the best starfox game out there, but its still good. Though I will admit nostalgia plays a pretty big role in it.
Come on dude. Sonic Adventure 2? Take off your nostalgia glasses. That game sucks. Unless your just playing it for the chaos that is.
+Matt Hawkins This was before I played sonic adventure DX. Now that I have played that, that is what is truly at #5
Matt Hawkins.
Sonic adventure 2 doesnt suck...it has the iconic city escape
One "ok" level makes the entire game good? Even assuming all the Sonic/Shadow stages are good, that's only 1/3 of the game.
One of my favorite games on the GameCube was Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.I loved that game so much :D Ahhh memories
Dude I agree with you I had all 3 but I don't see why it didn't even get an honorable mention they put a soccer game up there but not TY.
I absolutely agree with your list...
Metroid Prime was f'n AWESOME! It's in my TOP 5 games of all time.

Shame on this list for not mentioning Paper Mario.
So many good memories :)
Just as the N64, the GameCube didn't have as much titles as the rival consoles but their games were state-of-the-art and timeless classics.

8. Mario Kart: Double Dash
7. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
6. Star Wars: Rogue Leader 2
5. 1080 Snowboarding: Avalanche
4. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
3. Metroid Prime
2. F-Zero GX
1. Super Smash Bros. Melee
i loved the shit out of 1080 avalanche
***** I completely agree they were all awesome
I agree with this list :)
Wind Waker was a huge disappointment, for me at least.
I love dungeons in Zelda games and exploring, and Wind Waker had so few dungeons and the exploration was a chore - swimming to the islands and feeding the fish to get a mark on your map..
I kinda think that Windwaker shoulda been 1st.
I also Though Kirby air ride would've gotten a mention But that didnt happen
this is a new record, over 7,000 videos over 2,000,000 subs and you still dont have HD
There is no point in having HD in these old console videos.
i meen in every single video they put out none had hd
PhantomArtist I personally don't see a point in having HD on a Top 10 video. Sure it would look nice but you're not looking at footage long enough to really get much out of it. Just my opinion of course =]
