2" x 8" x 8' board ( I used southern pine)
1/2 inch dowel rod
wood screws (recommend 3 inch length)
paint or stain

Speed square
Level
Stud finder
Eye protection
Dust mask
Sanding block
Electric sander*
Circular saw or Chop saw*
Drill*
Rubber mallet
