Press the registration button before AND after you press 2 and 8 at the same time. Make sure you're at a menu similar to the one he shows before pressing 2&8 also.

I would recommend outputting a user data list first as performing an initialization will wipe the network settings of the device. you can do that by going to:
First page contains all your IPv4, subnet, default gateway, DNS settings etc.
To initialise (Factory default reset) go to:
