I’ve talked to locals on Abbey Rd. about that . They all say the same thing . “ That’s something you know before you buy in the area , and it’s really a small price to pay to live in St. John’s Wood . It also has made the real estate extremely expensive, who doesn’t love the Beatles ? “ I’ll suggest something for people visiting the area . Just walk around St. John’s Wood on a summer day, it’s beautiful !
St. Johns Wood I think has always been up-market. Hamilton Terr towards Maida Vale is pretty grand. The LP cover turned out to be a piece of accidental brilliance. Here we are, 1/2 century on and people still flock from all over the world to photo themselves walking over a crosswalk. I think it's great.
NATIVE NOUSE Totally in accord, has always been upscale. I’ve been to the UK often, and around 25 yrs ago it was a beautiful summers day. I took the tube to St Johns Wood, not to stop by the studio , but just to walk around the side streets etc, the pubs, local markets etc. Spoke to a lot of locals living there. It’s a very, very upscale area, as you said. Just beautiful homes, people were kind etc. last I was there the oligarchs were started to buy up property to build McMansions . That did not go over well with the people . I hope they haven’t sold out to these creeps that will destroy the charm of the area. Thanks for the reply.
The picture quality of the cover isn’t too clear in this video. You may be able to spot the person if you google a clearer picture of the cover in to google.
NATIVE NOUSE. It’s strange this. It’s kind of like a rock version of Where’s Waldo. Haha. It’s not the man on the right, it’s another man. I said in my first comment that the man is crossing the road but in actual fact it only _looks_ like he’s about to cross the road, because he’s not standing in the middle of the pavement. Have another look? And remember, we’re just having fun!
There can't be any way to make yourself look any LESS cool than posing for that photo 🤦♀️ and freezing in place at that!! The band was WALKING, it looks cool because the photograph captured them in motion🤦♀️
Great video this album cover is so iconic for the Beatles
Very well shot and edited

Other than the Beatles, there's a fourth person trying to cross the road on this famous album cover. Can you see him? 3:37. Reply down below.
Trying? Are they in the pic? I can't see anyone 'cept the 4 Beatles. Thanks.

I wonder if our Uncle Maurice standing under the tree should get royalties.
His name is Paul Cole, and no he has never collected any royalties
Why did you call him Uncle Maurice?
