i'll have to have a try, in the video the forward faces looked easy enough but the second part [the 'i'll speed it up & skip through it' part] it didn't look very easy to tell if they were aligned, or not
i saw from ian hubert, theres a way to start extruding a texture plane, and from this extrusions the texture will be already applied. have you seen it?
Why not just importing the image as plane and then adding loops and extrude that very same plane. That way you save adding the material and the UV part. All you have to do is unwrap the side geometry.
how can a noob like me who has no background in 3d can learn about UV, if the uv is mapping is done correctly, also i am confused about shaders, materials, textures and pbr.. 😔😔
More on texturing and UV mapping please !!!!
:-) Ok

How about UV mapping the image if it is not rectangular? So the components are not straight or square. 🤔
Thank you Jayman
You can add bevels to the edges of the stone parts to make it more organic.
Yes, would look nice.
OCD addon for the next level xD, got to try that out
Great demonstration, something clicked for me by watching it.
Great video, thanks for putting the time in to make this.

really useful, thanks!
Thank you bro …just wondering why you don’t use uvmap from view that’s give you accurate uvmap as photo
awesome!!Thank You.
Any way of including bump?
Otakon, is that you? Didn't knew you're doing blender tutorials!
usefull and simple for fast result

I've been doing this technique but starting with just brining the image in as "Images as Planes." Is there any disadvantage to doing that?
No, that's the fastest way it just shaves 2 minutes off the tutorial
no lie i was asking the same question, i felt like this tutorial was too long and could've been much shorter!
i have a model with subdivison modifer how you do a vid with sub modifer UV?
Can you do Sakura tree with sapling generator.

It is true for this particular thing but I wanted to show the process of mapping, assigning material with the image texture node and stuff.
@@JayAnAm Got it ! Makes sense !
Hey bro i have so many question in ue4, i'm a beginner and i watch a lot of your videos can you answer to some question ?
Hey, i just saw that you subscribed to me??? thats crazy mang.

Probably shouldn't teach beginners to use gizmos like it's the 90s :P
