I've just had a realization. Messmer can't be both a child of Maraka/Radagon and the reason for the snakes hatred in erdtree culture because the gladiators were from Godfrey's time which would have been before Messmer's birth.

49:00 looks like an aoe sleep spell to me. Light purple is the colour of saint trina who is miquella and him and his sister are related to butterflies. (Nacent for miquella and aeonian for Malenia) St. trina magic could be incantations then.
