aaaahhhh - falling from a cliff-
I sweare the sound they used for falling storm troopers if u shot em off a ledge that scream they do falling down has been sampled EVERYWHERE I hear it in so many random things I'm unsure of its the exact same or what or where it came from lol but it's seared into my brain
I could hear it so clearly while reading your comment, lol.
@@El.Era.Viracocha It’s called the Wilheim Scream btw
@@El.Era.Viracocha Wilhelm scream 👍
To this day it amazes me how they managed to get Orchestra sound onto a Cartridge
Speedruns for charity USA well I think these files are decompressed but yeah it was impressive they got this stuff on there at all.
These sound CD quality, which probably means its a rip of the PC version. Most of the soundtrack is from the films, some of it is from the companion CD to the book as well.
This game was so amazing, both in it’s time, and still today!
19:50 let’s face it we were all terrified when this played.
📠
I always think of the echo base boss when I hear this

Lmfao holy fuck this was literally me as a kid
Haha ha classic! The seeker ammo was my weapon of choice. It took a time for me to figure this out
I Figured Out That Its Neck Was Its Weak Spot Later On
Wait! You could aim upwards?!
Or you find out you had to use the tow cable to tie their legs
THIS IS CANON. FIGHT ME, KATHLEEN.
You're not incorrect! SOTE will always be canon in my heart. Who cares if Disney decides official canon? It's all fiction anyway.
@@MalabarTheGreat YES! We should label non-canon Disney Sequel Trilogy in retribution.
No it’s not bro. Just get over it
Oh I think it is canon? In one of the newer editions of a new hope you can see the outrider taking off as soon as the millennium falcon does from the bay.

Drinking a cold beer just listening to this on my lonesome... Every sip is just savoury.. Cheers to all those 9x lives saved throughout a stage and wasting them on a nightmarish BOSS, the long ass level of "Gal Spaceport" that never gave my temper a break.... And to that Sewer Diagnoga (If I spelled it correctly) eye that terrified me to shits. Haha oh... THAT childhood... I'll miss it dearly. Thank You Star Wars.. Thank you Shadows..
Not a huge Star Wars fan but my god this game is bad ass. I'm here with you in spirit dude, beer in hand, appreciating a classic. *tips hat*
I'm doing this now lol
and no thank you, Kathleen and Disney. This is and will always be canon. Cheers.
Cheers to you man

IG 88 in the Mandalorian Trailer makes me remember the train...the junkyard....the pain
IG-11*
That bossfight was horrifying when I was a kid
Ord Mandell was easy for me, the only thing was it was long only to fight IG-88 for a few mins
My brother and I called it “the Trashman” none of us wants to admit it, but it still creeps the saints outta us
Just spam every single seeker round you have right into him.
there is more soul in this soundtrack that the entirety of Disney's new trilogy
It was all made by the same person.
The Force Awakens has a ton of good stuff in. The other two, not so much, but I don't think Mr. Williams had enough time to do his usual on those. The original and prequel trilogy films were all made on three year timelines, but the sequel films were shorter production times.
Imaging still being mad over this. Those movies weren't for you, or me.
Will Smith: slaps
Ord Mantell Junkyard: hold my blue milk
I went to Disney world last year and they completely destroyed Star Wars. RIP Star Wars. My all time favorite game for N64. What a classic 👌
7:21 for me is the iconic moment of this game. One of the most epic scores in any Star Wars media.
Yes!!!!!!!
well it's also one of the most memorable moments of all the films. but in the game if you were to remove the music...
LITERALLY the part of the music I was here for, but couldn't find the Asteroid Belt music isolated. Whgen I read your comment it was about to happen, and I went "Oh, I wonder if they mean-" *The single most thrilling and majestic crescendo of the game* "Yup, they meant that."
“They’d be crazy to follow us”
Ord Mantell Junkyard-- People give that level so much hate, but I loved it. I thought it was a cool idea.
Best level in the game in my opinion.
JohnnyTheWolf yup. Hoth has been done to death in other games. No other Star Wars game had a level quite like Ord Mantell, as far as I’m aware.
The music on that level adds a lot to the experience in my opinion. It's Escape from Cloud City from Empire Strikes Back just in case someone's looking for it. Took me a while to find it
@JohnnyTheWolf You are absolutely right my friend, that's the scene where it's used during the movie. But if you search for the soundtrack, it's the second half of the song titled "Escape from Cloud City". That's actually why it took me some time to find it haha
@@slewdawg gall spaceport? I just loved that level!
Fond memories. The loping Wampas in Echo base used to scare the crap outta my 8 year old self
a remake on modern systems would be really cool
Absolutely.
indeed , would be mndblowing
Not if it's coming from EA. You can just imagine how it will be an AWFUL remake.
So I say don't do it unless the rights go to another studio.
Yeah, or they could do a part 2 game, as there was a comic that followed on from the book.
@Charles lol you dumb manchild
Dash looks so 90s and that's why he's my favorite.
At the time this game did a amazing job of making you feel like you were in a Star Wars film
This game was the reason I even bought an N64 in the first place, next to Goldeneye 007. Both are still damn good games.
21:51 - Gall is my absolute favorite. Brilliantly orchestrated. The intensity is magnificent. I love the dissonance
absolutely EPIC... those trumpets and stuff
i only played the nintendo version but now that i found this its incredible.
The sewer level always frightened me as a kid, especially the monsters. I would always give the controller to my father who would defeat them. That screech and roar haunted me as a kid.
I never beat that level. The lighting, the water you couldn't see through hardly at all, and those freaking roars scared me so bad; you couldn't tell where those squid things were until you were right on them or were grabbing you. I had seen my brother go through the level. I knew what kind of boss awaited at the end - which was a _very_ hard nope given where and what you fight - but I tried to go through it myself. And proceeded to crumble from anxiety once I came across the first of those in the level. I couldn't brave the jump into the water. I wasn't sure if it was the lighting on the water was tricking me or whether it was that thing swimming around; I knew one was close. Yet I played through the og oot and it's redeads and dead hand and never scared me as bad as that.
@@ShadowSkyX I figured out how to beat the lighting of the level I adjusted the lighting on my tv so that I could see everything LOL, ngl At first I just button mashed until I found myself at the end of the level somehow LoL talk about scary
Same!
Agree. It gave me vibes of the movie aliens, which scarred me as a kid
I don't know why, Ord Mantell Junkyard is the one I remember the most. It really felt epic jumping from train to train while this fast paced music gave you the feeling of no time left.
I watch this once a month, full blast
💯💯💯💯
Echo Base and Junkyard are so nostalgic holy shit
8:30 this tune has played in my mind since childhood
Makes sense. It’s also the music that plays when Rogue 2 finds Luke and Han. I only just realized that the other day.
@@Tremmor500is that the only time it's played?
@@TheWeirdGuyIsHere not sure.
I sometimes forget that the sounds in my brain are actually this song
I always love Xizor's palace theme. It is a track made for Star Wars that was not made by John Williams and it fit so well and sounded like it belonged in the franchise.
Totally suited the level too!
It's a wild blend of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Amazing track.
I played this SO MUCH growing up, one of the first games I ever owned and completed. Such an underrated game and soundtrack combination.
omg cute pfp.
plus your art on your channel is adorbs aswell!
@@hokage1997 Thanks Spoopi! I appreciate that
Loved it as a kid - but never got past Boba fetts level :/
ooo i love your pfp
Back when Star Wars games were entertaining.
That Gall theme is seared into my memory forever. We spent hours flying around that place.
Junkyard pops into my head all the time when I'm driving
Tis my favorite Star Wars tune.
😂😂
25 years ago I played this game with my brothers, loved it but it was too difficult for us to beat it. Now 25 years later, my grown ass found a N64 and the game cartridge at Goodwill, and started playing. Wow the nostalgia with this game! I actually beat it on Medium, and to be fair it wasn't and easy ride lol. Pretty challenging game even for me who has played thousand of games on their highest difficulty. Can officially scratch that off my list.
That's crazy you found the game and system in a goodwill, congrats on beating the game!
8:32 Oh snap. Here comes IG-88
hell yea
So true 😭✊😭 goosebumps, my eyes started watering... felt like a 10 year old kid all over again. Feels like yesterday.
Phelepos Zoukas When I was 8, I wouldn’t play Sewer by myself. The sound of the Dianoga squids still freak me out.
Ever since this game came out I always said they should have made a movie of this game and Dennis Quaid should have been Dash Rendar
I've always dreamed a Young Mickey rourke could play this great character
Where's the Main Menu Theme?
Haha the junkyard theme is engrained in my brain from the train mission
This game was such a lovable piece of crap. LOL
Piece of crap? What the hell man.
The book was much better but at least the skyhook battle was fun.
I've read the book and played the game; both are brilliant, they should do a movie of it (probably a bit late now, as the franchise has already been milked to death!) but it would still be cool. Chris Pratt or Ryan Reynolds would make good Dash Rendars.
I don't think Pratt had the seriousness to do it, and Reynolds...just doesn't have the face.
something about that AT-ST sound on Hoth was terrifying
18:28 reminds me of Indiana Jones
This game made me fall in love with the Hoth theme song
My favorite song is the ord mantell junkyard, i really love that level, until the figth with that creepy robot 😭
21:53 "Go away sir."
You have to understand this to be my friend
8:50 when that trumpet run comes in whewwww
Best thing was knocking storm troopers off cliffs. This game was epic though. #wompastompa
25:33 bad spot in the CD.
Xizors theme is groovy as hell.
The games ost- Especialy post villan transcripts are like too fucking divine. No really unthinkable transgressions only behind birds eyes nest the nastiest of the villan- SUPERB.
This would make an excellent animated miniseries for Disney Plus. I see no reason that this can't fit into the current new canon. Shadows of the Empire was an excellent game with a great story that could do really well as an animated miniseries since obviously the OT actors are either too old or dead :( to reprise their roles, but you could get Mark Hamill to portray Luke again for the time we briefly see him.
Sure....Disney's already desecrated every other realm of the Star Wars universe, why not Shadows, too....
This sound track is absolute fire
Great game, great memories! hope they make de N64 Mini.
what IS that clicking noise during the skyhook music?
I think this comes from an old CD rip because that's the annoying sound I used to hear on damaged (or very cheap?) CDs years ago.
That's exactly what it is. No bueno.
@@BissoMultimediainGiappone I had the same issue with my copy back in 2000 lol
Xizor's palace is a masterpiece
I thinked the 6th level was about killing motorcicle riders, not pirates
The music is awesome, unfortunatly controlling in this game is very bad
Weak!
The greatest Star Wars game
Yes, this and Knights of the old republic. (XBOX)
Definitely one of the best. My 9-10 year old ass, trying so hard to beat this game.
Played this game to death back in the day!
honestly if you beat this game as a kid, you should qualify for a veteran's discount
Amazing soundtrack
This was truly a great game, i was stuck on Xizor's palace for ages, skyhook battle is epic too.
i still play this game, it's very good, and the music is great, but this ost is not complete
Ord Mantell Junkyard is from Hyperspace in Empire Strikes Back.
Are you sure that's ripped from the game? It sounds much clearer than what I remember
... -_-' try using your brain...
This can be PC version. Little bit more memory for the music to work with
Love god and love all people. Trust, hope and do good in god. 😂Believe in the gospel Jesus Christ for Jesus Christ shed his blood and died for the sins of the world and he was buried and rose again from the dead three days later. For Jesus Christ God almighty and the flesh and if you believe in the gospel you are spiritually reborn into the family of God.
All hail Emperor Palpatine
I've been 3 years on a bicycle tour, Mos Eisley tune popped up on my random playlist while I was pedalling in some sand tracks in the Bolivian desert, it was like hiting a turbo button... then I hit repeat 3-4-5-6 times... all these nights playing N64 in the basement weren't a loss after all.
McNeely did an awesome job with the original songs, I wish they had brought him on board to pass the torch during the prequels.
Ord Mantell Junkyard slaps!
Imperial sewer is my favorite track. I love how intense the imperial palace track is!
THANK YOU
カッコよくて、懐かしくて、涙が出てきた…
07:19 feels good man
FYI The soundtrack was written in 2 weeks.
24:35
This game was a classic, though it could’ve had a few more levels. The Battle of Gall, Bothawui, and the space battle before the Outrider boards the Suprosa should’ve been included. But at least the latter made it into X-Wing Alliance.
A movie would be great suing this soundtrack!
The Force is strong in this comment section. That is if you’re into hokey religions and ancient weapons 🏴☠️
This is really from the game? It sounds much better than any other uploads. It sounds better than Project64 too!
i think this is orchestrated, doesnt sound like the game at all
Yeah it's either an OST release or the PC version
The entire soundtrack was always fully orchestrated, but due to hardware limitations the N64 version needed to be downgraded in quality. But truth is: This was the FIRST fully orchestrated soundtrack in a N64 game.
Muita nostalgia.
Disney must produce a film or a serie about this story
I love the the entire game since my youth... also the soundtrack (game and the "original" (for the book & Comic) soundtrack) ❤
but what is this, which makes the "Gall Spaceport" Theme so especially cool?... right! It's "BOBA FETTs Theme" from Empire strikes back 😎😎
This game was anxiety inducing
Xizor pissed me off to no end.
Yeah dude. Was so exciting and scary to play as a kid
@@EaglehawkMoonfang especially the snow wampas in Echo base, and the trash monsters in the sewers. Gosh dang those things terrified me as a kid
FINALLY available on the tubes!
09 sewers sounds like Voldemort theme in harry potter especially in the beginning.
this is music from the pc version.
WOMPA STOMPA!
The sewer level boss will always give me nightmares. I heard the boss was bigger than the creatures you fight in that level but never expected it to be three stories tall lol...
I recall the music on the Suprosa level being the same as Echo Base. I'm not sure what the music featured here is. Anyone know?
and this game is canon since prince Xigior appears in the final season of clone wars when maul was telling all crime syndacates to hide.
We need another Star Wars, preferably like this one for Playstation,Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
8:31 Snowspeeders to the rescue
The driving energy from the strings in the Ord Mantell music is so unforgettable to me, it gets stuck in my head really easily lol
9:55 when you landed a perfect risky jump, and this was on sync you felt you were actually doing Star Wars.
Asteroid field and Ord Mantell junkyard slap so hard it's not even funny. 2 top 10 SW scores imo.
As much I love this game, dash controls like garbage. He slides all over the place, lol. I find myself jumping just to control his direction better.
The PC version has better on-foot controls with WASD and the mouse.
Now THAT was a good Christmas
Dianogas still give me the creeps to this day
scary fucking level

Suicide bombing the AT-ATs when you were about to go down anyway was fun. Slam right into the cockpit AHHHHHHH *kaboom*
That Gladiator Droid though. When I had to fight the head, I remember yelling "OH COME ON!" at the screen.
Save up your disruptor rounds just for that part.
Wish they made some kinda remastered version of this game 🎮
I love that it says gamerip when it's 100% impossible for this quality to be on a N64 cartridge.
The Disney copyright police doesn't allow true gamerips of SotE on here.
Love how the game takes all the best songs and the parts of each song. Most of these songs are like 10 minutes each but the game chooses the climactic parts. Genius
And of course some of it is brand new music! Kudos to the composer for sounding like J-DUB! I’m not sure, if it is Williams or not tbh but if it is, i didn’t know! Maybe i missed these songs from the soundtrack
ARRRRGGHHHH!!!!! I WANT THIS GODAAMN GAME ON SWITCH!!!! RELEASE IT ALREADY!!!!!
God I miss the old days when Disney didn't own the Star Wars franchise.
