shadowslayer205 the book and the game are different stories. As a game, it's not based on the book so much as it's telling what happened from solely Dash's perspective while the other stories were being told in the book and the comics at the time. Shadows Of The Empire was a multimedia project set between Empire and Return Of The Jedi, with each piece of the multimedia project (book, game, comic) telling different parts of all that went on in that time period. The project was designed so that you could enjoy each work of the project both separately and together.
I have asked Pablo hildago is this book/game. Story canon , he said No ..,really can't see why this is not an official story.. .it all fits in the right places..
A rough underrated gem, this game. One would even like it more if they checked on the rest of the SotE Multimedia Project. Ah, those were the days. At least SotE still lives on the PC (I recommend the GOG version), alongside Episode I: Racer (which also has Switch access).
I feel bad for whoever was Dash's gunner, since I doubt he/she made it off Hoth alive unless it was in the Empire's custody. Strangely, The Essential Guide to Warfare suggests Dash never had a gunner during the Battle of Hoth.
It's rather interesting to see the fact that LucasArts reused some of the uncanny valley models from the infamous "Masters of Teräs Käsi" game for SOTE's PC CG cutscenes, especially Luke and Leia's.

Fenris0mega94 Yes, they did in an episode of Rebels
Update: It is indeed the same type of starship as Dash Rendar’s Outrider, but according to Rebels director Dave Filoni it’s not the Outsider itself. According to EW, the person who originally designed the ship for the Shadows of the Empire video game now works on Rebels, so Filoni let her put it in.

silentscopelx you can’t give facts, people have too many feelings
Needs to be a canon story of this
I mostly prefer Canon to Legends, but I have quite the soft spot for Shadows of the Empire.
I am treating this as Still being Canon
Learning about shadows of the empire and how it made of making a Star Wars movie without actually making a Star Wars movie making a game, book, comic, soundtrack, and a toy line makes me kind of wish they would something like this again the closest thing I can think of is high republic
This is a tar wars game should be made into a film end of
It was already based on a book of the same name, and yeah it would make a great film.
shadowslayer205 the book and the game are different stories.
Someone should pitch that idea...
@@Kerunou Mind blown ! :O Thanx for those infos !
I have asked Pablo hildago is this book/game. Story canon , he said No ..,really can't see why this is not an official story.. .it all fits in the right places..
Music: John Williams(1977-1983) and Joel McNeely(1997)
So... what happened to Dash Rendar's co-pilot / gunner after the Battle of Hoth? I can see two pilots in that airspeeder cutscene.
"It's better to be remembered as a martyr without actually being dead, wouldn't you say?" *Solidus Snake??? Is that you????*
A rough underrated gem, this game. One would even like it more if they checked on the rest of the SotE Multimedia Project. Ah, those were the days.
Shame its Prequel equivalent, Bounty Hunter (featuring Jango Fett), doesn't have a modern multiplatform rerelease. At least SotE still lives on the PC (I recommend the GOG version), alongside Episode I: Racer (which also has Switch access).
So who was his gunner in the snowspeeder? I see two guys uh there
Unknown
I feel bad for whoever was Dash's gunner, since I doubt he/she made it off Hoth alive unless it was in the Empire's custody. Strangely, The Essential Guide to Warfare suggests Dash never had a gunner during the Battle of Hoth.
It's rather interesting to see the fact that LucasArts reused some of the uncanny valley models from the infamous "Masters of Teräs Käsi" game for SOTE's PC CG cutscenes, especially Luke and Leia's.
