As we continually invest in our fleet here in Blackburn, it's time to say goodbye to our oldest buses, which are Volvo B10 single deckers. Usually seen on Valleyline, the 2 and the 4, these trusty buses have served us for over 25 years, but it's time to welcome better and more comfortable buses.
We'll be having a special weekend for bus fans to say goodbye - on 15 and 16 June we'll have a special weekend for bus enthusiasts.
On Saturday 15 June, we'll be running as many Volvo B10 buses on Valleyline as possible.
On Sunday 16 June, you'll be able to travel on 2 of these buses on many of our routes across Blackburn. We'll be running journeys on the 1, the 7, Valleyline, the 4, and Hotline with the Volvo B10s between 10am and 5.30pm.
Buses will run a few minutes after the normal journeys on the following trips.
the 1 departing Blackburn for Darwen at 10.10am
the 1 departing Darwen for Blackburn at 10.42am
the 7 circular departing Blackburn at 11.10am and Accrington at 11.42am
Valleyline departing Blackburn for Clitheroe at 12.35pm
Valleyline departing Clitheroe for Blackburn at 1.18pm
We'll then take a short break from 2pm to 2.45pm
the 4 circular departing Blackburn at 2.45pm
Hotline from Blackburn to Preston at 4.05pm
Hotline from Preston to Blackburn at 4.55pm, when we'll finish for the day.
Normal fares and passes are accepted, but you can buy a special B10 ticket on our app, covering all our buses in Lancashire on both days for £10 including a £1 donation to a local charity to be nominated by our drivers.
Over the next few weeks, you'll see our newer buses start to trickle out in Blackburn, further improving our fleet.

I'll be going on the Saturday, but I can't make it for the Sunday due to a bus event in Derbyshire I need to help out at.
I will (most likely) be showing up on Sunday to see these. If not Sunday then Saturday. I will never forget the ones Burnley used to have. These will always be the best buses in the world and no one can prove me wrong about that
They have been an amazing bus, I can't remember the last time a bus was kept in service for so long.

I think that the B10 buses are good to ride the renown buses will still be in model bus version and I think the model ones will become more valuable in the future and the only b10s that will be still with transdev will be the training ones and the 3 buses in Keighley doing the school runs 😊👍
sad days will you be driveing some of the last B10s
Not sure, I did request to be a part of the day but as a Rosso driver my work needs to be covered 1st
Will it be a weekender just for the b10?
Ticket wise I think it's a special ticket to use across Lancashire not sure if it's valid for two days though 😕. I will find out and get back to you
If it's an LCC ticket, they have a Weekender ticket
