These "likeable" techniques would work if you plan on being in the entertainment business. However, in real life, it would be a coin toss if you'd be either likeable OR flat out annoying LMAO. Nothing is definite when the subject is others' perspective of yourself and perspective is a form of personal opinion.

Didn’t she at one point make a video about being burnt out and unhappy. Acting happy and positive all of the time(or at least pretending to be) comes with a cost.
Usually the people who are the ones always entertaining, are the ones who are most likely depressed and unhappy and mask it with humor.

Totally agree! I tried to pick things that I have specifically seen work well in real life interactions. There are certainly a LOT of things that Liza does that work specifically because it's in video format.

I also think her audience is very specific. Most of her fans are very young. Her kind of over the top humor wouldn't work with most adults or in everyday situations. This wouldn't work in an office environment. She would be the annoying co-worker.
Even though some if this advise is REALLY good (positive misinterpretation, honesty instead of creating a perfect image - for example), I think that doing all of it would cast you off as weird in real life. I could imagine that one of the biggest reasons this works for her it's because this is RUclips, and possible the average age of her viewers. But doing this kind of stuff when you're 20 to 30, with other people in that age range would be extremely weird.
I agree with the video, but with a clear objection.
People don't really like honesty and vulnerability. Those traits do not add interest by themselves. It's only when you couple it with other traits that they become an edge.
If you are someone who is not successful and show vulnerability and honesty, you are just a loser, and nobody will care about you. At this stage you need to build your audience/expertise to be successful, and that will not be built in any other way than by having some form of character and reliability.
It's only when you are successful that you can use vulnerability and honesty as your secret weapons, because they will generate rapport with those who are not successful and admire you, so as to make them think "well, I'm not that different from them, so I can become successful too".

I used to be like this a long time a go when I was younger. but now something has changed and I don't know why. Sometimes I'll get back into it but frustrated people fight back when I amuse myself. I focus on the positivity but sometimes there is none coming from anyone so I create my own positivity/ But mostly my struggle is that when I express myself others who are frustrated try to shut you down and close you out. I try to not let them but sometimes its very difficult to do.

Even before I watch this video I just want to say I really didn’t like this title, “how to make somebody like you in 6 seconds” aren’t people meant to like you for who you are, don’t pretend to be someone else your not just to impress others. Because honestly there’s gonna be people who are prettier than you, smarter than you, wealthier than you etc. I encourage you to be yourself because at the end of the day you are who you are and if people don’t like you they must have insecurities themselves. Admit it, we have all gone through that stage where we admire somebody and want to be them because they look so confident and beautiful, but really little do you know they have insecurities themselves and aren’t perfect. Man, you need to acknowledge the raised eyebrow which gives her an open and trusting face. And man, she has that huge mouth. A large mouth means you are extroverted, outgoing, and talkative, showing more confidence in expressing yourself than people with mouths that are small in relation to their face. The larger your mouth in respect to your face, the more outgoing and expressive you will tend to be. She has an excellent structure to her face that really helps with her other talents. She over emphasizes these things on her face by using a wide angle lens shot. She also uses excellent makeup and lighting. She uses everything to her advantage. Whoever is helping her is a genius.

Her facial expressions are annoying. It's not only her though. It's something that I've noticed with other social media people who want to be funny and likable. It's like they're all mimicking each other without knowing it, kinda like the duck lips trend but worse. It just irks me.
I see what you mean, a lot of youtubers do similar tactics with the way they act on camera and their lingo or facial expressions. Like many internet famous people play a upbeat persona and over positive persona. Idk if they’re that happy at the moment? Or if they are playing for the camera? Idk it just gets confusing cause for me, I feel like idk the real person I’m watching. But maybe it helped to be positive so that your audience remains positive?
