yeah i tried to love reason but it's kind of a grift at this point, i switched to bitwig and regret not switching sooner, it's cool having reason as a vST tho

I virtually always just lay down everything on my keyboard but I really like seeing how you work the piano roll chopping up chords with the mouse. It's pretty slick and you do it very well.

It was a revolution in terms of visual style & the first digital good looking modular system IMO..
... and hell it was fun to learn music making with Reason thx to the device Devs. & & the device design style.
But the Reason UI / GUI stayed to long untouched with other major flaws in the long run ...
... & minimal DAW philosophy paradigma systems evolved with new usabilitys & workflow concepts, less visual clutter less clicks/ $crolling less repetitive tasks , midi controller concepts / etc. .
So Reason is what it is...a own unique DAw with style & atitiude ...

Hate I dont know,.. its a mix of a lot of thinks why ppl. ,,HATE" it...
some company managment thinks some update scedule & missing feature wishes.
......But I dont care really that much or think about one tool...
.... there is to much out there and Reason is for electronic music more then most ppl. even could imagine in the past,..
..and personaly, I love the new features...

Reason isn't "mainstream" because it's ugly. It's visually outdated, but it's a good DAW.

If you turn on "filter notes" on the scales and chords player it makes it easier in the piano roll since it mutes notes that aren't part of the scale instead of highlighting the notes. Having both options would be useful though.
nah they still need highlighted scales in the piano roll...tired of using players, it's too limited and i don't feel like playing with my hands all the time
Any reason why you started using your kick in nnxt recently?
it's a notch button on the filter section that makes it hit harder

@@Holo-j2l if you turn the volume down at the bottom part of the NNXT it won’t clip
I never used the not h filter on the kick in the NNXT, is it boosting in the kicks main frequency or some?

@@SefNitty in a bad situation so I won’t be able to afford an upgrade for a long time, luckily I was doing well in 2020 and grabbed Omnisphere. I know it doesn’t compare but at least I have it but I want Polytone 🤣
