    I recently purchased the Widex Com Dex. It is a game changer for me in that I can now answer my Android phone with it and the sound goes directly to my hearing aid. I am so glad I purchased it. I may later on get some more accessories for my Widex hearing aid. Thanks for the information

      Our pleasure! Yes great little accessory, a TV Streamer would be a good edition although the mic is so so!

    Thank you for the review. While it has been a year since you posted this video, it helped a lot to decide on my hearing needs now, in Feb. of 2023. You clearly described the features and advantages of the product, which I can only guess got a bit better in the ensuing year!

    Thank you for the great review, Matthew! The example you describe at the beginning about being on the fence on whether to get hearing aids or not is exactly where I'm at. I'm a recording engineer and musician and am very concerned about getting a natural sounding hearing aid so I can continue to enjoy playing and listening to music. My audiologist said they would probably start with the Widex Moment. I also wanted to thank you for the BEST audio I've heard on youtube. I can't believe how many hearing related videos have such loud and obnoxious intro music and poor compression that makes it so you have to constantly ride the volume slider! I wish I could come to London to have you fit and adjust my hearing aids. Maybe I should suggest this to my wife since she's always wanted to visit the UK :) Thanks again!

      Thank you for your kind words Steve! We do get a lot of compliments about the sound of Widex aids re how they handle music. I think where I recorded it was carpeted and we had a shotgun mic which hoped makes a difference then a bit of tweaking in Kinemaster.
      You definitely need to come to London to have them fitted, we will even give you and your wife a free cup of tea!

    ok turned up on the dot for my Widex appointment .in Evora Portugal . nice easy to talk with audiologist . she had a look into both ears and suggested a wax cleaning session . She made an appointment on my behalf for a nearby doctor to take care of the earwax removal . nso the hearing test on the 24th didn,t happen .. ear wax removal cleaning appointment on the 28th of February 2023 at 1-30. Then book another Hearing aid appointment . distance travelled up to now over 100km . Making me think, Is it worth the hassle .? .

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  Год назад

      Sorry to hear that. In the UK typically the audiologist would carry out the wax removal then the test. Hopefully it will be worth it in the end! Keep us posted.

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  6 месяцев назад

      I would only be able to tell you by testing and trying different solutions. Possibly a Naida UP aid with a Roger Mic but that is a guess at this stage. You may get no benefit & need a C.I.

    What does the440's High Frequency Boost do? I couldn't find anything on the white excite nor from googling.

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  2 месяца назад

      Boosts the high frequencies. It would sharpen up consonants, enhance birdsong, could make hearing dialogue on TV easier.

      @@zone1hearing Right, but which frequencies and under what circumstances?
      I'm interested in the treble range for a music listening.
      I'm wondering what's so special about this feature that it's only included in the top of the line aids; why coudn't high frequency boost just be applied where desired as part of normal programming?
      Thanks

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  2 месяца назад

      @@noahkatz9616 I would need to check next time I program a pair to see which frequencies specifically. Why the top model? As you go further up the range you will get extra options. If you wanted on a lower spec model you could add an additional program & ask the audiologist to boost the high frequencies. What specific situations? I named a couple but whenever you feel as the end user that boost would be helpful.

      > I would need to check next time I program a pair to see which frequencies specifically.
      Would greatly appreciate that, thanks.
      I want to hear the treble content of music better, i.e. the shimmer of cymbals.
      If that can be done w/programming, then it seems the only reason to go for the High Frequency Boost would be if it extended the treble to a higher frequency.

    • @zone1hearing

      This specific model takes a size 10 disposable Zinc Air battery and they typically last 3-6 days and are replaced by the end user. A box of 60 batteries in The UK can be purchased from as little as £11-£12.

      They typically range from 16-50+ hours per charge and all manufacturers offer them in their receiver in the ear canal aids and a few in their in the ear aids.

    I’m a musician and i really wanted to try the widex,. My audiologist only just gave me the Phonak Audeo Lumity instead and won’t even give me the widex ones. I keep asking to change it out even before the trial period was up and they keep telling me i can’t.. i said I’ll return them because I’m not going to wear them and they keep telling me i can’t do that either.. I’m so annoyed because I had started out with the lyric. I looovvveeeeddd it but unfortunately i ended up not being a candidate😢. I have had zero luck with anything else so far
