Hi, I don't understand how I can quickly propagate a position to another group of fixtures. Let's say I made a X Spread with some Sharpies, how can I get that exact same X Spread (with the same values) for the Spots?
Saving Universal presets does not work, it makes all the fixtures go left, and the spread isn't there anymore.
    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the comment and great question! Unfortunately, the universal share of position information does not work as well as we all might hope it does. What I recommend that I’ve used is magic presets for creating position presets. If you watch my magic presets video, and just swap the color information for position information, you will be able to get the quick X spread.
I know this may not be a “do it once and it works forever” kind of answer you might want, but I’ve found this workflow to be super useful.

what is the fixture for your Pars? The ones i choose never seem to turn on

I have some SHEHDS LED FLAT PAR 18x18W pars patched in right now. It’s a fixture you can find in the global fixture library. If you don’t want to use those, I’d recommend ADJ 12PX Hex pars. They’re a simple 8 channel par with RGBWA+UV.

dude thanks for explaining this so well. im a crazy my dmx guy trying to get ready for this controller.... my style of lighting is a bit more dynamic to random music. doing lights to random djs is my style but damn do i get crashes that are embarrassing. question can a bad light cause a low end light program or even grandma to freeze.

I don’t believe a low end light could cause a crash. DMX is sent out and doesn’t return, so the only other factors in your situation are your program and your computer.
