not that i've watched mice reviews from a TON of different people, but from what i've seen, the way you showed what type of movements the different mouse shapes are good/bad for, and why, was super useful!
Glad it was helpful! I wanted to be a little different as there are so many reviewers out there, so I'm glad you liked it. I'll try and evolve as I do more of these over time.
This is a great review. I feel few mouse reviewers go into what makes the shape work and not work for them, and how exactly it affects their aim. Even though we all have subtle dimension differences to our hands and other relevant body parts, it is still useful to have someone describe the shape’s pros and cons for them in detail. This is a great review. This is despite me not obsessively paying attention to how my hands interact with the mouse anymore.
Mine should be here tomorrow. I will say the red makes it look incredibly cheap but i think thats just a 1st batch coating issue. I got mine in the grey. Pretty excited to test it against my viper mini SE
I’m pretty much the same grip style as you. I finger tip but like to pull the mouse in for tracking stability. I have the Atlantis Mini but I feel I lose too much finger tip range of motion - but I love it for tracking. Amazing mouse overall I also have the pulsar x2v2 mini which is the opposite - great finger tip range of motion but I don’t feel locked in enough when tracking. I hope the Maya is the perfect in between. I’m going to give it a try Thanks for the great review
Been looking for an upgrade from my wired viper mini and the one thing that bothered me on it was the front flare because i like to grip my mouse towards the front. Seems like this is gonna be the perfect mouse for me, cheers for the very informative comparison!
Very good review! I am trying to find a new mouse to replace my GPX but since I currently play on palm grip, I’m finding it to be quite challenging. My hands are relatively small so I’m going to try and give this mouse a shot. Thanks again for the great video!
Getting this soon, and the atlantis mini, idk what shape I'll like better. I'm on the HSK Pro for over a year now and thinking to adjust back to normal mice shapes. Hoping Lamzu will find me my claw/fingertip mouse to enjoy. G-Wolves is just so expensive honestly, and I've loved Lamzu's products so far. I've got the energon pad and sapphire skates in the past and they look like they're doing great things in the mouse market. Time to actually try their mice for me
Lamzu has been a great surprise so far, coming out of nowhere to offer serious premium performance and specs while keeping their mice under the $100 price point. Ive been using the thorn for 3 months now and im loving it.
I have a Lamzu atlantis mini and og both v2, and i can't say which i like more, I perform better on each one here and there sometimes i feel like even switching mice benefits me so my hand isn't always the same. (aggressive claw with atlantis mini since its smaller, and more relaxed claw with the og size since its bigger, maybe something in the middle might even be better who knows, I've also been a big viper lover as I have a viper v2 pro, maybe this might be up my alley) I feel as I can track better with the OG atlantis size but I can flick better with the Mini size. ps also I love these kind of reviews and also with someone with your knowledge and experience of dealing with pro gamers, pro aimers, and doctors, lets you be more in depth with the review of a mouse.
I would recommend trying the pulsar grips. It's incredibly thin and grippy... the others grips do give a noticeable size up I agree. I think laonda has the same grips as the ones pulsar sells, but no brand (the brand area has no grip anyway)
Do you have Ripple Control On or Off in the Lamzu Software for your Maya? I personally tried both settings and decided to have it turned off. I use 6400dpi but use Raw Accel to make it feel 800dpi
I've been a WMO 1.1a fan for 20 years. Do you think Maya is a smaller version of WMO? I think they have similar shapes. I watch a lot of reviews, i really liked your presentation of the material, unlike any of the reviews.
From what I understand, the WMO 1.1a is slightly bigger in length/height but very similar grip width. In that case, the Maya could be a pretty decent alternative if you don't mind having it feel a little smaller in hand. With that said, I'm not sure about the hump/curvature details on the 1.1a, so that's probably the best comment I could give to your question! Overall though the Maya shape feels pretty safe/versatile to me, so long as you aren't intending to use a strict palm grip.
OP1 has a better coating and build, however the larger rear hump - while stable - gets in the way of spray control with fingertip pulling shown in this video. In short, Maya for tac shooters with recoil, OP1 for tracking heavy games.
@@DR-kw4ff I own many guns, and the last thing I ever concern myself with on mice is whether it’s “slippery”. You’re not controlling combustion in your hand. It’s a mouse.
It's solid, I totally feel you on this as well. I think the next mouse for me will probably be the finalmouse ulx medium. Slightly more narrow grip width than the Maya but still larger than the starlight-12 small. Not sure when I'll be able to get one though.
@@ddkesports loving my ulx, but i felt it needed the grip tape to avoid slipping like you mentioned with your starlight. Not a problem for me as it only adds ~1mm width but something to keep in mind
I have mained the maya the past few months, then got "endgame shape" FOMO. Bought the thorn and OP1 8k. Ended up back on the maya. I really enjoy the width and how my fingers bend over M1/M2 pulling the mouse back into the hump. I feel really stable. Goated mouse.
@@DR-kw4ff Yeah that's the tricky part of all of this. We all have different physical attributes and preferences. I think the Maya and the Viper mini are both pretty safe shapes and very similar despite some small differences.

Great review, I enjoy your thought process.

Love the Maya, recently put some jad air dots on for skates and it's been a game changer
Awesome. I switched back to my finalmouse recently, but the Maya is top tier for sure.
Great review, just bought the Maya, good so far but it’s only the first day so will need some time to adjust. For reference, coming from a DA3 Pro.

Nice review!
I recently received and have been using the LGG LA-1, which I’ve liked a lot.
You sure are making me wonder about a new shape though
really making me wanna try this mouse even tho I just ordered the beast x 😅
Hah, let me know how it is! I want to try it too.
I love the maya so far. I did have to put the grip tape on just to give myself a smidge more width for my palm grip or my fingertip grip.
2 videos in on day man you are awesome

@danielkapadia if you could change the maya by single mm’s? what would you change, slightly higer hump, wider, longer?
@ddkesports whats your opinion on back humped mice?
I would recommend trying the pulsar grips. It's incredibly thin and grippy... the others grips do give a noticeable size up I agree. I think laonda has the same grips as the ones pulsar sells, but no brand (the brand area has no grip anyway)
Really good review, really feel like i know how the mouse feels without buying it
had a similar experience with the pulsar x2v2 mini.
I need to try that one, too. There are too many mice to buy! Maybe once I'm back in some talent work I can get them all and start reviewing more.

So ur saying that mouse is the grip reaper
Have you tried the za13c or u2?
another satimsfried constimer
How do you find the click latency ? with the maya ?
i'm curious how it compares to the Pulsar X2V2 mini.
The stock for this mouse is so inconsistent and hard to get, its been easier to secure a finalmouse preorder
have you tried the op1we? i’ve heard good things about both the maya and the op1we and i’m debating on which one to get
Get the Maya. Its lighter.
I own both and the op1we feels a little bit thinner and the hump fits more in the back of my palm .
Also the coating of the maya is a bit slippery ( i own the gray version ) and it is noticeably lighter
OP1 has a better coating and build, however the larger rear hump - while stable - gets in the way of spray control with fingertip pulling shown in this video.
In short, Maya for tac shooters with recoil, OP1 for tracking heavy games.

I wonder how the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S compares to the presented mices? Most likely it sucks balls, right?
the lamzu maya's coating isnt for me :( but the shape is very nice
You should try struth gaming's claw mates
I am using the maya with jade dots rn
How do you like it?
